Review Time
Loved the idea of being paired with a mystery destination which matched with what I would look for in a holiday. Journee definitely delivered on this! From clues leading up to leaving, everything being organised for me including my flights, accomodation, transfer from the airport and activities to help me explore in my mystery destiantion, Journee could not have made it easier. I liked the addition of the weather/packing list to help me decide what to take to wear. They even had emergency contact info available incase it was needed while away (thankfully I didn't) and a number I could text if anything needed updated before I left - like to change my passport info for the flights they booked when I updated my passport. The accomodation booked was really nice and felt safe for a solo traveller. I really enjoyed the experiences that were booked for me and were a great way to explore the area and see some beautiful sights. I enjoyed that the way they planned the trip for me also left me with time to explore for myself as well as the expereiences they had planned. I would 100% like to do another Journee trip in the future (and I think several of my friends might too having seen all my photos) and would definitely recommend this if you like the idea of having a holiday to a mystery destination all planned for you!
I absolutely loved the thought of someone planning and surprising me with a holiday, especially after reading the experiences that were planned for me, and the fun clues that arrived was so much fun. I arrived to the airport as planned and did the reveal envelope, I was shocked! I didn’t think for a moment it was where I was going. The accommodation was beautiful I was right in the centre of everything, the experiences were amazing, it was the best holiday I had ever had and it was my first solo trip. I loved it so much that I’ve booked another one! Go for it … you will not be disappointed 🤗
It was amazing! I was writing my Thesis, and did not have anytime to plan a holiday. Journee did it all for us. We had an amazing time, there were activities planned, restaurant recommendations, nice place to stay, what more can you ask? You definitely feel the care too. They prepare lots of info for you in their pack.The guides they have books for us are wonderful. The excursions unique. We met lovely people on the way too.
This was such an adventure! I want to be a solo traveller but couldn't decide where to go and was overwhelmed with all the planning so i kept putting it off. I first saw Journee on Instagram and immediately fell in love with what they do. They took away all the planning and made the entire experience fun with the clues and guessing where i was going, even my friends and work colleagues joined in! I thought I was going to Italy and eventuallylearned i was going to Marrakesh! What a HUGE surprise! It was a massive adventure. I loved what they planned for me and although I was nervous I felt completely safe and supported by Journee. While i was away if I needed anything I could reach out to them and they responded immediately. I highly recommend Journee, i love them and will be booking more adventures with them in the future.
I saw a Journee video over 1.5 years ago. Since then, my husband & I planned for this to be our 25-wedding anniversary trip! You are able to pick the general timeframe of when you want to go! All these reviews keep saying "they sent us on excursions we wouldn't have picked on our own" & that is the total truth. All the excursions were wonderful! Tour guides were knowledgeable & funny! There were others Journee travelers on the same excursions! Journee sent us to 2 towns. We spent 2.5 days in a large town & the remining 5 days in a smaller town. The smaller town ended up being both of our favorites! The hotel accommodations were wonderful & walking distance to town center.Luckily, we didn't need any guidance from Journee while we were on our trip, but the other Journee members on our excursions did & Journee was quick to assist. You should definitely book with Journee!
Overall great trip with the surprise reveal at the airport. It was tough to resist peeking, but we wanted the full experience. Good accommodations, but not great. That was on us as we could have (and should have) upgraded to a four-star hotel. We met two other Journee travelers, and they upgraded to better hotels. The excursions were great, although one had to be cancelled due to high winds. The "foodie" tour was amazing. Raquel was a gem. The trip to Evora with Nonu was spectacular. The trip to Capo de Roca and Sintra was cool, but the weather got nasty for the Pena Palace. (Can't control the weather). We will be using Journee again and we've recommended it to our adventurous friends. Dare to take the Journee; you won't be disappointed.
After a colleague recommended them, we thought we'd complete the Journee questionnaire and see what we got. We liked the itinerary they sent and booked our 5 day break. Journee covered everything; both our hotels were excellent, trains were booked between locations and two amazing excursions were set up. Both of them were fantastic and it's unlikely we'd have thought to book anything like them if we'd done this on our own. We will definitely use Journee again. That colleague has already booked their next trip
If you're looking for something a little more exciting than your average holiday, Journee is the company to go with. We picked Journee to arrange our trip away for our wedding anniversary and it was brilliant. From the very start the staff were very accommodating and managed to put together a fantastic trip with everything including flights, accomodation, day trips and travel all within our budget. When we found out our destination at the airport, all of the information we needed was right there in the provided itinerary and available in the Journee passport on our phones. Everything was made really simple and we had such a great time, Journee even sent a bottle of bubbly with a nice note to our hotel upon arrival. Don't hesitate with this, just book it.
What a truly amazing experience!!! I can’t say enough of how awesome the whole trip was, including the months leading up to it. My friend and I love traveling but we are both too busy to plan a good/thorough international vacation. Literally, everything was out of our hands (except packing). We were most concerned about our safety, specifically around the accommodations areas. The accommodations completely blew us away. They couldn’t have been more perfectly located. The tour guides we had were dynamite!!!! They all went above and beyond for us. One of them even found a local tattoo shop that was open and made us an appointment in their language. Our trip was magical and I cannot wait to do it again. I give Journee a million stars.
