The insurance itself I have never had to use, however, every year that premium goes up with a sentence saying- 'you have been with us for many years and therefore you will be able to get a cheaper rate elsewhere'. It doesn't seem to quite reward those who are loyal and don't claim.
I like the fact everything is online and when I need support I can email and they respond within the hour.This year their renewal was late, just 6 days before the deadline date and it was also higher than last year by over 10%. I was away for 4 of those days.I asked for a reduction and they were unable to do so and offered me the right to search for cheaper elsewhere. Given the late renewal, I had no time to search elsewhere so accepted but will make plans to seek alternatives next years.
Slightly more expensive than with a direct ins co such as AXA but more competitive than the confused.com etc sites & I believe offers better cover , simple & efficient quotation system - easy to take up the offer with simple DD payment options & interest free, thank you
Hi all!I've had Insurance with this company for the past few years and not had to claim so no issues.This year my tenant has not paid his rent since Jan 2021 and I've had to make a claim. My insurance claim seems to be going through Lexelle. It has been approved via the underwriters however I've been told there may not be enough money in the pot and if that's the case they'll have to ask the underwriters for more money ?When I do receive any money they take the deposit off and pay a month behind. So at the moment I have missed my rent for 12th Feb, 12th March, 12th April and 12th May. 4 months. I have as of today 19th May received nothing. If I had received anything they would minus the deposit being held from Feb, March April only, not May.Thought I'd really got myself covered but struggling now. This is my main income. If Just Landlords value their business I'd be grateful for their help in pursuing this matter for me where I could then improve my rating. By the way the person I am dealing with at Lexelle has been very nice but I can't help feeling I'm being fobbed off for as long as possible now and checking their rating it's very poor.27th MayToday I received a call from the Head of claims at Lexelle on the back of this review. He was very polite and apologised for the delay in payment. I have been promised my 1st payment next week, the beginning of June. As described above it will be for Feb,March, April minus the tenants deposit being held which works out for me about one and a half months rent. I'll be able to claim for May's rent in June.Hopefully things will now improve, 🙏
I have insured a rental property with Just Landlords for many years and, although I have so far never made a claim so cannot judge the insurers from that perspective, I have always found them very easy to deal with on the phone - efficient, helpful, reliable and kind. Many thanks, Magdalena Harding
