Really, really angry!I bought and paid for in stock roofing items and booked a collection slot for today...600€ of materials.Arrived to be told that they haven't got them, and no date can be given for availability.However, Chateauroux are showing they are in stock to collect within two hours!I had to borrow a vehicle, due to the weight of it all. I drove 45km to Chateauroux (and back, empty).I have tradesmen booked in on Monday to fit the roof.The girl said that I could collect the nails if I wanted? Really??Totally disgusted!
Leroy Merlin in undoubtedly the worst online shop in France. I have bought a robot lawn mower which never worked. When bringing up the problem, and asking for a refund they simply discarded my request, stating that the "box had been opened" (which is of course illegal to say). The customer support then led me to destroy the robot by doing a silly operation so that it would be impossible to even resell it. Almost 2 years down the line I'm still stranded with this robot. They apparently can't care less about loosing a customer (or many in my case, since many numbers of my family have sworn to never buy from them ever again).
We paid over 8,000 euro on a kitchen and I requested a new cabinet door after the paint lifted when my granddaughter used sellotape for all of 10 seconds. I contacted customer service expecting a very quick reply and a new door, I WAS WRONG!.It is clear the paint has not been applied after sealing the wood otherwise the paint would not have lifted so easy, Leroy Merlin contacted the manufacturers and they said it left the factory correct and just refused to except any responsibility. I have been told i now have to order and pay for a new door! This is on a new kitchen costing 8,000 euro. Very poor quality product do not buy.
Looking at the rating on trust pilot I can understand why I'm still battling to get my product and an answer from them. I will never ever order anything from them again. And I suggest people must think twice before supporting a company that just don't care. They obviously have enough money in the bank.
The worst experience online so far and I'm 60! I ordered 1st Choice Travertine tiles, I received 2nd choice (or worse), full of holes and horrible grey discoloration AND half of the tiles are broken. Leroy Merlin refused to help. I now have 60 sq. m of tiling that I cannot use and I have lost €2000. Great job Leroy Merlin! Let's hope you continue this way and go out of business.
Terrible experience all round. The table we ordered arrived late and in disintegrated packaging, missing a large essential part. We tried taking this to the shop to return but it was refused (external linked company). Leroy Merlin then said that because we were choosing to return it we’d have to pay our own postage (which would have been prohibitively expensive, a workbench is large and heavy!)- they neither sent the missing part nor collected the item. They then closed the return window. Do not buy from this company.
We ordered two compost bins on the 19th of February.The order was due to be delivered between 3rd and 7th of March. Thats quite a range to start with.On the 10th of March, I enquired after the order, and was told by message:"Hello. Unfortunately, an error occurred while sending your order.We have already asked our distribution center to reship your order.Once your package has been shipped, we will provide you with a tracking link.""an error"? What error could possibly be made? They HAVE my money. They HAVE the address.GROSS incompetence.But that's what I have found consistently here in France in all areas. Gross incompetence and laziness. An attitude that they just DO NOT CARE.
Included as part of large order was a sliding shower screen - after much consultation and deliberation. The order was in Greek and I did not appreciate that the item that was entered in the order by the Leroy employee was in fact the wrong item - a swing door screen. The dimensions were correct so I assumed it related to the item that I had chosen. It’s some months later that the item was to be fitted that Leroy’s error was spotted. Despite that fact that the error is Leroy’s it is not prepared to take the item back. So I am about to throw away a new shower screen that cost over €200. Not a happy bunny. I Shan’t be using Leroy again! Or recommended them! Their customer service is appalling! Rude & unhelpful.
