Long haul flight. Booked and paid for premium economy seat which was completely reassigned. Connecting flight cancelled. Had to wait at the airport the whole night for the next flight. Terrible!!!!
I am writing to express my disappointment with the declining service standards of Lufthansa. Over my last four flights in 2 weeks with the airline, three have been delayed by an hour or more.Furthermore, the in-flight catering has been consistently sub-par. On my the longer flights, there was no non-vegetarian option available, and the cabin crew were unfortunately unable to provide any information regarding the menu or alternatives. As a frequent traveler, I expect a higher level of reliability and professionalism from a premium carrier.
Tried to amend booking by a day, unable to do it online or through chat, called customer service at Heathrow to be met with an extremely unhelpful condescending agent, i told him to forget it. Then in the app it advised flight had been changed to my preferred day. Until it came to check in no flight. Called to be told that flight full and my original flight full too!!! We were picking up a cruise so had no alternative to book another flight at additional cost. Got emails stating they'd tried to call... No missed calls. I called them to be told their agent had made a mistake and original flight was still there... Too late... They also stated I had to pay an additional cost to get flight back as I'd cancelled outgoing flight. Unbelievable!!!! Avoid at all costs
I’ve been dealing with an unresolved issue with @lufthansa and @expedia for over two months, and the way this has been handled is unacceptable.I paid for a service I couldn’t use due to circumstances completely outside my control, and instead of support, I’ve been met with misinformation, delays, and endless back-and-forth.Every time I reach out, I’m told a different story.It should NOT be this hard for customers to receive fair treatment.Enough is enough — I want this resolved properly.
Flew from Heathrow to Frankfurt- flight ok but luggage delayed. Submitted a small claim for out of pocket expenses on return to U.K. in September. Subsequent customer service has been appalling - all correspondence has been ignored including those to CEO.Facebooks evidence many example# where customers have just give in
Very bad service, ground staff and some moody and rude hostesses. They forced me to send the carry when it had the correct weight and measurements and they lost it on the conexion flight. impossible to communicate with a human, I returned to my country of origin after a week and the carry is still "delayed". Each of the four flights I took had delays, some more than two hours, terrible service, seats that don't recline, no cell phones or TV to charge on flights of more than four hours...
Just want to share our terrible experience with Lufthansa Airlines. on February 17, our flight LH470 from Frankfurt landed at the Montreal Airport instead of Toronto Airport due to poor weather conditions. They kept all passengers inside the plane for four long hours and then proceeded to dump them - as used garbage bags at the Montréal Airport and later after two hours of waiting time in a line. A voucher for a hotel 40 min away from the airport was provided... It cost $119 dollars via Uber to get there. We got to the hotel at 1am... for food expenses, they provided us a $10 dollar/person vouchers for breakfast and a $20 voucher/person for lunch. I want to ask Lufthanza managers - how can you provide a breakfast for a kids for $10 when just a cup of tea or a small bottle of water costs $3.50 plus tax??? ..... in a hotel which is far from everything....More over, the provided substitute flight back to Toronto was scheduled two days later despite great weather and operational airports the next day... I am a contractor, I cant afford missing three days in row at work... no tickets available via VIA train, no buses, no rental cars available for the next two days - all was booked because of the vacation season and weather... we ended up paying $1400 for a car ride from Montreal to Toronto...The worst part of the story is that in the morning our big new Lufthansa operated plane returned from Montreal to Toronto to do a scheduled flight departing from Toronto... To anwser the question of why they left the people behind, they answered that the passengers in Toronto were waiting for the plane... it looked like we were not "passengers" for them any longer and just used materials which could be dumped somewhere... passengers left to deal with our own problems....I am suspecting that Lufthanza treats its employees the same way as their passengers, so I would not be surprised if we see more Lufthanza employee strikes and airports closures...shame....
Absolutely the worst when it comes to customer service. I had valid paperwork/VISA to transit through EU, and their customer care also clarified that I am eligible to fly without any additional documentation, but the check in counter crew is oblivious of all rules and regulations and denied boarding. They are arrogant enough to not even read their own government’s regulations and rules on the government website. Please avoid them. There is a reason their flights appear cheaper than all others, and it’s not worth it.
