Review Time
When I first got my loghouse I was thrilled with it but then noticed a mold growing and discovered a leak in the roof. I contacted loghouse and they wanted photos so they were sent and eventually it was fixed and I was told this would be the end of the mold problem. WRONG.. what was the "mold" I have now discovered is a fungus in the Timber which is untreated prior to erection ( I thought most timbers are pressure treated ) and after getting a professional out to test the mold I have been told that the issue is in the timber and needs to be chemically treated if I wish to still have my cabin by this time next year. This fungus is growing in colonies and is eating my cabin and is everywhere. It is high up, low down, near electrical sockets and all over the outside too. The treatment necessary is a chemical treatment not a mold remover from Woodies as this will only mask the problem. I have used the Loghouse recommended paint on the exterior and interior as they told me this also treats the wood. I have sent in the report from the professional who tested the fungus yet they tell me I have been misinformed and that they will only use the Woodies product. They tell me on the phone how they will help however when I ask for it in writing so I am covered they omit most of what they said during the telephone conversation. Basically Loghouse.ie are excellent at sales and that s where it stops!! Their product will not stand the test of time if mine is anything to go by. Even without coming down to inspect my cabin they have had the gall to state it's my own fault as I am not maintaining it. I have done everything they said I should do to treat it. These cabins cost a lot of money and a normal timber shed for less money and using normal outdoor timber treatments last longer and are more suitable for our climate than the timber cabins that Loghouse are selling.Since writing my review on the website Loghouse have responded claiming they inspected my cabin and I was not maintaining it. This information is false and they have not been on my premises since 2019 when they fixed the hold in the roof. Loghouse also claim it has never happened with any other cabin yet their sales manager told me on the phone it had happened to a cabin in their showrooms. Loghouse stated I demanded a new cabin. What I actually stated was I was having a professional to check the fungus as it was causing concern and a lot of fungi can be toxic and if this was the case and it cannot be treated would they provide me with a new cabin.
Absolutely delighted with the cabin that I purchased (Laragh 3×3). Needed after sales service team to fix some issues and they were fantastic and had people out immediately to sort it out. Thank you to Tadas, Eugene and the entire service team for going above and beyond.
Just recently installed an Eco Garden Room 4m x 3m in our small suburban garden. The experience was perfect in every way from start to finish. We purchased our 6x4m Wicklow contemporary logcabin 3 years ago, and it has been well used since then as an Art Studio for my wife. However we noticed some damp patches appearing on the ceiling during the second winter. We contacted the service team but with lockdown last year there was an understandable delay.The service team came out last week and I'm so glad that they didn't just attempt to do a 'half-fix' but replaced the whole roof including an upgrade on the roof cladding/flashings.The service team were professional/capable and also very polite & friendly. Loghouse were true to their word and honoured the guarantee, and I would strongly recommend them to any potential customer.Nigel & Ann Phillipson
Got my cabin from loghouse. Had a very small issue with it. I was dealing with Tadas, who sorted the issue out immediately. A great product, excellent service, and i would highly recommend loghouse if you are getting a log cabin. Thank you and well done to everyone at loghouse.
Its a great way to expand your living and working space. Initially there were some issues with the cabin that I have purchased, also as I was on a tight budget I didn't invest into windows and insulation as I should have at the beginning, which I regretted later. However, the service team had sorted all the issues out for me and I am quite happy now with my cabin.
This review is based on our experience 2.5 years later after use. First of all the team that installed our unit were very curtious and mannerly, initially we had a window problem. Which was sorted out the next day bye the site forman. Fair play to him he actually went out of his way to rectify the issue. The unit went up smoothly and quickly, without any further delay. I have to say when the project was finished we were absolutely delighted with it. Now 2.5 years later our options have not changed in any way, it was well worth the investment. It doesn't take much to heat it on a cold winters night or day, it's so comfortable and homely. Recently after some very bad winds and rain, the unit developed a leak. I sent a email to loghouse on a Saturday, they appeared on Monday late morning. Great service even to fix it after 2.5 years.Thanks Ger
Absolutely delighted with our One Bed Type D cabin. Even though the build was delayed, by a couple of weeks because of the lockdown, Eli and the team did an amazing job. The craftsmanship is outstanding, as the lads worked through the weekend to get it done. Highly reccomended! Will be getting another one soon for the kids.
After some delays,our two bedroom cabin was delivered on 1st October 2020. They started the foundation on the first day and by the fourth day it was completed. I have never seen men work so hard. The weather was sometimes quite bad and they just continued working. They were unfailingly polite,cheerful and tidy. We are delighted with our cabin !
