I was heard up when I saw EE on BBCnews having to compensate customers for the many scams and I think that Lowell should put in a claim as they have clearly been scamed by EE as well.i think EEshould be closed down permanently.
I keep receiving letters in my married name from 11yrs ago ,with debts my ex husband built upLowells have been told on numerous occasions that these debts are firstly not mine and secondly ALL over 6yrs old I have moved on from my awful marriage but Lowells just keep bringing all bad memories back to me by doing this PLEASE STOP!!Absolutely awful company who just do not stop even though there is no longer a debt!!
I had two accounts with them and faced numerous hardships and difficulties, but I still tried to communicate and work something out. I would message about one account, but they would reply about the other, and this frustrating cycle continued. Additionally, it took them weeks to respond each time.Eventually, they passed the account over to Overdales, despite having already agreed on a settlement. They didn't proceed with it because they wanted to ensure I paid off other debts first. I had clearly told them that I received money from my family as a gift to help me become debt-free. Their lack of coordination and slow responses made an already difficult situation even worse. To make matters worse, their customer service was unhelpful and often dismissive. It felt like they didn't care about my situation at all. The entire experience was incredibly stressful and disheartening. I called many times, and after waiting 30-60 minutes to get an answer, I was often told they couldn't help me.

Totally Wrong !!I got a letter from Lowell and it says i have debt to paypal which is absolutely nothing to do with me.I have an paypal account but never use . I go and check my paypal to make sure .I never put any money in paypal and i didnt use paypal in my life , how come i have an outstanding debt???My name is Htin and Lowell case Ref is 458943941Could you sort it out please, thank you.
Lowell closed my accounts and are now incorrectly reporting to credit agencies. I have now asked each credit agency to get this removed from my credit file as the accounts are now closed. If this isn’t still removed I will be going to complain to financial ombudsman as the data is being reported incorrectly. If I could get this company zero stars I would they have affected my mental health.
I recently received a collection correspondence for a utility bill which I have no knowledge of owing as I have lived outside of the UK for over 10 years and have had to pay any bills for 12 years. I have contacted the company to inform them that this isn't enforceable, also that I didn't enter any agreement with this company to make any type of payment to them so I will not be paying them. They are requesting proof of identity from me which I refuse as I have provided my name, customer number and the amount and the utility providers name. Under Under the Limitation Act 1980, debts of this age are typically considered ‘statute-barred’, meaning that they are not enforceable through the court system. As such, I am under no obligation to repay this debt, nor am I required to provide any further personal information. I have informed them that Continued contact on this issue will be considered harassment, which is against the principles of fair and transparent data use under the Data Protection Act 2018 and GDPR. They have responded to say that they will continue to contact me and they are obliged to continue to tell me the next steps that they will take. These companies are disgusting. They have no morals and do not care about people, they are only interested in money. Ana I read that you deal with buying the debts and therefore you should be aware that people are not obliged to pay you as they have not entered contract with your company to make any kind of payment.
