Do not trust this company

Do not trust this company. They harassed me at my place of work and made out they obtained my work number from Experian. To shut them up and to stop them harassing me I reluctantly paid the so called debt, then 4 weeks later they placed a default on my credit file at an address I’ve never lived at. No matter how many times I tried to resolve the issue they refused to remove the default even though it was wrongly given. I’m still waiting for proof of the so called debt and surprise surprise Lowell still haven’t provided anything. I will be pursuing a claim with the courts for harassment in the first instance. Please be warned, do not provide any information to them, they are corrupt

Set up a payment plan that lasted several years. Over this time there has been no harassing phone calls asking me to pay the debt off or increase payment. Finally paid off now so thank you for an easy, hassle free time.

Customer service is the worst I’ve…

Customer service is the worst I’ve known. Set up a payment plan and they took the payment twice which left me overdrawn over Christmas due to an issue with their online payment system. Have been promising me a refund for 4 weeks now. Was left with no money to buy food! Then when I left a review on their other page had the nerve to ask me to provide FURTHER evidence for the reason for my complaint when they already know as I’ve asked them over the telephone and live chat around 6 times!! Will be taking to the ombudsman

This company buys so called debts

This company buys so called debts, they sent me letter 2018 saying I owed them £415 for a debt. When I contacted the advisor was rude beyond rude. I asked them to send me evidence they refused, so I took legal advice and took them to court they didn't turn up. The judge in the court explained that its not up to me to prove that I didn't owe the money but for lowell to prove I did. My advice to you all is ask them provide all evidence including a full break down to the penny to why they think you owe money if they refuse go to court. also report them to financial ombudsman service they will hate this as they get charged £550 for every complaint. The company has no legal powers and they cannot call in the bailiffs only a court can do this. ALL they can do is try obtain a ccj but the court will contact you first asking you for information So all you need to say I don't owe this money and lowell failed to provideYou with adequate information to help you resolve the issue. Hope this helps everyone. Don, t phone this company always email them so you have paper trail which will help you in court.

Another SKY debt recovery outfit of crooks

The latest scumbag little outfit to say that they have purchased non existant debt from SKY. Usual pre printed form with alleged debtors name coming from same address in PO Box number in Northampton.SKY owe money back as rebate for non connection. And do not believe the Trustpilot reviews at bottom of letter - their reviews are overwhelmingly terrible. It is a pity that I could not give big fat 0.Catherine - I have given you the reference and nothing. Email me alleged SKY signed contract your letter saying that you have bought rights to alleged debts and refunds due and post your REAL address.

The worse company ever and this has…

The worse company ever and this has prompted a full investigation by the fca. I will make it my lives work to close them down and make them all redundant. So they purchased 4 deflated accounts 4 defaulted accounts that had been proven as fraudulent and so never should have been purchased. I proved this to them and the original lenders who stated I had to deal with lowell direct. So I did then on the 10/08 this year lowell removed the 4 defaults on my equifax report removed the 4 defaults on my trans Union report. So I questioned why they had not removed the defaults on my experian report and their reply was it takes 50 days. So I waited the 50 days which then went into a 8 week complaint. They then denied removing the defaults at all so I sent them screen shots to prove the removal and was promised a manager call back within 48hrs. 72 hrs later I end up calling them as no call back from this terrible excuse of a company. Anyway this time I speak to a manager called Richard who states he's going to have raise another complaint with an 8 week time scale on top of the other complaint all ready being escalated. Beware they delay and delay in the mean time I have been to fca and they have confirmed lowell should be removing the defaults as they have on the other 2 credit agencies.I am now going to watch dog and local media and I will shut them down.

A disgusting who staff try to…

A disgusting company who staff try to intimidate people over the phone, this company bought a sold called debt from BT they claimed i owed £651 however the case was thrown of court, when I proved i owed nothing and Lowell had bought the debt for £75. the court ruled this company had acted un professional by refusing to declare what they paid for the so called debt, also by refusing to supply the agreement number including start date etc. my clear advice to anyone who received a letter from this company remember1- the law states it's not up to the consumer to prove they don't owe the debt.2- its up lowell to prove you do owe the debt 3- No debt can be chased after 6 years4 - you have the right to ask lowell for copies on all so called agreements, bills they claim you owe if they fail they are breaking the law and you can report to the financial ombudsman.5 - Lowell have no legal powers only civil which means they can only pursue a debt through small claim but they usual withdraw before any court hearing.

I very recently contacted Lowell’s as they’d put a default on my credit file. This was placed on my file 2 years ago as a result of an unpaid mobile phone bill. After explaining the situation to their representative Christopher Tremenherre he agreed that it was harsh and that as it was for such a small amount and was having a negative impact that the right thing to do would be to remove it at the earliest opportunity.I found them extremely helpful and compassionate in this particular situation and can’t thank them enough.
