Review Time
I'll be upfront here and say that I did not use the actual styling app. My sister had signed up for it using my email and card to take a quiz, and I only became aware of it when I noticed the charges coming through on my bank account. My complaints here are about my journey trying to find the account connected to my card, navigating the app's settings, contacting customer service, and then getting denied a refund. Once I figured out where the charges were coming from, I went onto the Lumi website to try to reset my password. Each time, I got an error. After multiple attempts to try to get into it, I emailed customer service. My first attempt communicating with them was generally unhelpful - they just sent me basic instructions on how to log in and deactivate my account, which I could not do because I could not reset the account password to get into it. I asked if they could refund the charge and/or cancel it for that month as I wanted to get rid of my account. Flashforward to now, they charged me for last month AND this month. I emailed again explaining that I cannot locate whatever account is connected to my card and after two days of back and forth, they finally found what email was connected to it. They sent me a log in link to use on mobile (which lead to a different URL from Lumi), and I was able to get into the account. However, I came across yet another error when it came to deleting the account. I screen recorded what error I kept getting, sent it back to customer service, and again, asked them to refund. They cancelled the subscription connected to my card and then asked for final confirmation that I wanted my account deleted. They denied my refund request because by giving them my card info, I was thereby giving my "explicit permission" to be charged. They had been charging me since June and it is now October - I only asked that they refund the charges for September and October, as those were the months that I directly contacted them to try to get rid of this subscription. They then informed me that my refund request was denied on the basis that it was a "personal issue." This was a wildly frustrating and annoying experience to just get into an account and cancel it, and I encourage folks to stray away from this app on that basis alone.
Completely horrible. They took my money and I couldn’t even use the app or website. I contacted “support “ for help and did everything they told me to do. Didn’t work so I asked for a refund. Told me I couldn’t get one. They send generic emails out and absolutely no one will help. So, this company is horrible!
Kiara did a great job helping me find a great outfit to suit my style and needs. I love it and will order it. The price of the outfit was very affordable though the dress was from a company I had never heard of before and I don't want to purchase from a fast fashion store. Overall, it was 5 stars and I am looking forward to using it again.
