This app uses deceptive billing practices. I was charged even though I never received any styling session, style guide, clothing recommendations, or any other service. The cancellation process is intentionally confusing, and the charges hit before you ever get access to anything.There is no clear disclosure of these charges in the app itself, and there is no confirmation step before they take payment. When I reached out to customer service, they refused to help and provided no resolution.Based on my experience and seeing many others with the same issue, this feels like a recurring pattern: hidden fees, difficult cancellation, no service delivered, and no support afterward. Consider this a warning — be extremely careful before giving this app your payment info.
When I tried to schedule my 2nd session, I was told I only had 1 review per month despite having paid for unlimited sessions. I sent the email confirmation, then was told I would receivea response within a week. I didn't use the service for the 1st 2 weeks because I was busy, so essentially I won't be able to use what I paid for. They offered a discount for a 5star review but I couldn't acces that because the link was in the chat instead of emailed. The stylist was nice & there was a link to purchase her recommendations, but it wasn't anything worth shopping. Sticking with Pinterest from now on.
I did the 30 minute stylist session. I only wanted to discuss clothes for my body shape and how to style myself based on that, I feel like they really listened and provided me with good feedback! I’m excited to see the tailored outfits to by shape and suggestions.
I would like to cancel my subscription if possible !Ember was my stylist. I spent almost an hour answering questions that I answered on the previous questionnaire.I suggested some ideas , color, neckline, Casual. I asked to see some samples and was told that they only have Style samples and I don't need to re-ask.Then after I asked to see other tops, she asked if I wanted to continue or is now not a good time. I had just spent almost an hour answering her questions! And I felt she didn't want to help me anymore. I expected a fabulous outfit and I got a Walmart Style I would like to cancel my subscription.
UPDATE #3 - I really hope this is the end of this mess. I now have my refund and am closing this off. UPDATE #2 - so this has changed once again. I received an email today, Oct 27/25, to say I would receive a refund for the TRIAL charge, $4:32CAD, and not the $72.02CAD that I am entitled to. So this does smell like a scam to me. I am very disappointed but will continue to correspond with them and will keep you informed. UPDATE: I have now received a full refund. It wasn’t easy, it took patience and persistence but it’s finally done. I hope that LUMI will now make any necessary changes to ensure this doesn’t happen to anyone else. I signed on for the free trial, as I often do, to check out what they had to offer. The next day I couldn’t get into my account because their website was not opening. This happened for the next few days. I was trying to get into the account to cancel the “membership”. Miraculously it opened the day after the trial ended, and I had already been charged for a full month’s subscription. They have refused me a refund and said I have “points” I can use.
