Who made this idea needs jail time, no parole

Microsoft used to be a tool for students. Now it’s a trap. I was working on school assignments when Word locked me out, demanding a monthly payment just to open a blank page. Do I look like someone who can afford rent for a sheet of digital paper?This subscription model is a slap in the face to every student struggling to afford food, let alone software. You’ve turned basic education tools into luxury items. Too bad, so sad, your greed has earned you more low ratings than high expectations.

windows 11 catastrophe

i used to be a big supporter of microsoft, but they have completely tarnished their reputation with the move to windows 11. we have 4 windows 10 PCs in our household that cannot be upgraded. They don't care about the expense or the impact to the environment this forced upgrade will cause. I've moved 1 PC over to linux so far, and will look into other viable alternatives for the others.

I have used Microsoft for over a decade and been paying for it for a long time now. That will no longer happen. I will be deleting and unsubscribing. They are a worthless company and they will literally allow someone to just steal your account and do nothing about it.

Microsoft365 subscription put up by 31%!

Microsoft 365 have just told me they are going increase my subscription from £79.99 annually to £104.99, a convenient for them £25, an inconvenient and unacceptable to me increase of 31%. No consultation because they have a monopoly. And what do I get there crap Copilot AI which I don’t want or need, as it just gets in the way. Crap service and crappier view of customer loyalty. If you don’t need to use their products don’t. I will see how I can move away from them.

Shocking: Blatent breach of Direct Debit Regulations

Shocking. (1) MS applied a +38% price increase on my company's PowerBI licence and (2) breached Direct Debit regulations by deduction MORE than their advised price increase. It's taken over 6 weeks and c. 20+emails so far to get a refund for the overcharge and I only got them to agree by threatening to instigate a chargeback through our bank. Moreso, they claim they only applied a 5% increase to the subscription price and the other +33% came from a change in my "billing plan". We have not changed anything with regards to our billing plan. I'm awaiting an explanation now. Strongly recommend avoiding Microsoft where alternative providers are an option. BE WARNED - they hide behind a myriad of dysfunctional and disconnecteds teams, none of which take any responsibilty, relying on customers to lose the will to live and stop chasing.....then try to close the support case when you've run out of breath.

Microsoft forces me to add a phone…

Microsoft forces me to add a phone number even though I have another security factor configured. Dear product manager, it's called 2-FA not 3-FA. But the most disappointing fact is, that their web interface is a pain on mobile. Choosing a country code for the phone took me 1 minute or so, because you have to hit the 5 pixels of a scroll bar to go through the list.

Im sick of this company.

Keep getting locked out of my microsoft account because I forgot my password and have to keep making new ones that I end up forgetting and cant change back to becaise microsoft block any old passwords you had even though they weren't compromised.Got locked out of my xbox and everything and had to make another password that ill no doubt forget.I just want my old password back, its a safe password so I dont see why I cant re use it.

Microsoft windows is squatters on your system.

Microsoft windows is using systems as add hogs with a side of bloatware/garbageware. I installed windows 10 thereafter I found some glitches, I thought perhaps it's because I don't have the latest windows 10 update? I went to microsofts update webpage, I downloaded the tool to update. After an hour + my display had RGB streaks all over and a haulted stall, this should not have happend with 32GB of RAM AMD RADEON GPU and an i9 8th Gen CPU (The chip is active, I checked the bios, the bios is also up to date). There's plenty microsoft isn't telling the end user, honesty is not in their vocabulary, nor is communication.I gave this one star only because this site doesnt allow any lower, I will rate a negative four star. If microsoft don't improve soon I'll be more than happy to go to an alternative Linux OS(Distribution)...

Some of the worst support I've ever used. Once I've recovered my 25 year old email account I will be permanently making the move away from all things microsoft.
