I bought a new computer with Windows 11 and Microsoft made it almost impossible to use. They put an unnecessary catcha challenge that was impossible to complete unless you have speakers. They force to to use your internet connection to register your new computer. I sometimes wish I got Linux installed on my computer instead. They also provide really poor customer service. The technicians often ignore you and they lock you out of calling them again for 24 hours.
Technician broke my lap top trying to do a remote repair and FAILED to call back and fix his damage
it is impossible to get through when you need service
Microsoft COWBOYS buyer beware
All they are about is ripping people off with broken products. They have just released microsoft flight simulator on the ps5, and its completely broken and full of bugs, i paid £200 for the deluxe edition, and career mode is unplayable. the helicopters are unflyable, the assistances dont work, planes dont render, or spawn in buildings, ATC does not respond to you answering them, the penalty system does everything it can to give you a poor score, the list is endless.
The cloud sync does not work well. If, multiple computers are used, and the customer wishes to backup data to the cloud service, it should backup seemlessly. I've upgraded from 5GB to a 2,000 GB storage to a premium subscription, only for OneDrive not to be able to back up the data and information. It should be simple enough. Use subscription, login, backup files and computer data. It doesn't work that way. Why would I pay them for a service that does not work well, easily and simply?
Microsoft appears to be stagnant for a company of its magnitude. Office remains locked behind a paid subscription, which is difficult to justify in 2025 considering the available alternatives. While Microsoft Rewards are offered, they feel limited and uninspired — primarily consisting of small vouchers that do not provide significant value. Security tools like Microsoft Authenticator are overly complex yet poorly designed. Users often face repeated login approval requests without clear explanations, and the activity logs fail to provide insight into what is occurring. Copilot has been a major disappointment. I check in monthly to see if there are any improvements — and there are gradual changes — but it still falls short of justifying the excitement or the push to integrate it broadly. Microsoft is not entirely bad; it simply seems to be in a “good enough” phase, which is no longer acceptable.
In my experience, reaching out for help has been frustrating. Attempts to contact support have been met with silence, as calls go unanswered. I've previously sent multiple messages to the management regarding my concerns, but received no acknowledgment or resolution. The feedback provided about issues on the platform continues to be ignored. One major problem is the ineffective filtering system, which allows inappropriate and unwanted emails to clutter the junk folder. I've seen an alarming rise in spam related to gambling and other irrelevant offers, despite my settings being adjusted to the highest level. Reporting and blocking these emails feels futile, as their numbers only seem to grow. It's evident that the company needs to improve its filtering capabilities to prevent this influx of unwanted messages. Other email services manage to handle this better, so it's clear that a solution is possible. I urge the company to take customer feedback seriously, respond to inquiries, and implement necessary changes to eliminate these unwanted emails from the junk folder.
Windows 11 takes much longer to perform regular tasks compared to Windows 10. This is a major inconvenience for users. There are numerous issues with this software, making it difficult to provide an unbiased review. Any positive feedback seems superficial. If possible, stick with Windows 10. It's hard to understand the company's reasoning; it feels like a move to increase profits. I've struggled with Windows 11 for several months, and I truly dislike it.
My account was compromised and I'm not receiving any assistance. I provided my payment information that I've used on the account, and I filled out the form completely and in detail with all the correct information, yet they still can't recover my account. The customer service is terrible.
My email was recently compromised, and I’m finding it extremely difficult to regain access. I’ve submitted their automated form multiple times without success, and attempts to contact support have only led me back to the online system without any real help. It's frustrating that someone who knows nothing about my life can access my account, which I’ve held for over 15 years, yet I cannot prove my ownership despite providing evidence. The company needs to simplify the process for account recovery! I can’t even obtain an incident number, and I’m considering escalating this issue to an ombudsman or relevant authority.
