Terrible logged me out of my account exactly on my birthday and I had to make a new one and also I wanted to get a verification code from Rockstar games and they stopped me from getting it
I've been a Microsoft user since DOS. 35+ years.
I stayed through every bad update, every bloated release. I don't switch - switching has a cost and I knew Microsoft. That loyalty was real.
Then something shifted. A direction. A pattern. A company that no longer deserved that trust.
I switched to Apple - a platform I knew nothing about a month ago. This is 100% on Microsoft. 0% on Apple.
I also replaced Copilot with Claude (Claudette). She talks to me like an adult.
Copilot is patronizing, condescending, wrapped in disclaimers like I'm a liability risk. That's not an assistant. That's a babysitter who doesn't trust you with scissors.
You had 35 years of loyalty. Think about what it takes to lose it.
⚠️ Disclaimer: This review was written with the help of Claudette (Claude, by Anthropic). Copilot was not consulted. It would have added 4 disclaimers and a safety warning.
I am filing this complaint regarding Microsoft Corporation and its bundled Microsoft 365 subscription that includes LinkedIn Premium Career.
My Microsoft 365 subscription has been fully active and paid for over one week. The service is functioning normally. However, the LinkedIn Premium Career benefit included in the subscription has not been delivered.
Microsoft support confirms that the subscription is active and claims the LinkedIn benefit is associated with my account. However:
• I never received any activation email or redemption code.
• LinkedIn confirms that no Premium activation is associated with my account.
• Microsoft previously instructed me to wait 7 days for the activation email. The 7-day period has passed. No activation was sent.
Microsoft is now redirecting responsibility to LinkedIn, while LinkedIn states the activation must be issued by Microsoft.
This constitutes a failure to deliver a bundled digital service included in a paid subscription.
Windows 11 is RUBBISH! Whoever decides on what to update, please don’t. You don’t have a clue.
How about asking the end users what they would like to see or update because Microsoft staff really made a HUGE mistake with windows 11
Worst experience ever. I was purchasing minecoins for my nephews, it asks me to login (which I created an account) because this isn’t abnormal when purchasing online. Instead of providing me a gift card, it out the coins on my account. When I asked for a refund twice they refused. Worst customer service and service ever!!
This has been one of the worst customer support experiences I have ever dealt with.
I was charged for an Xbox Game Pass subscription unintentionally. I attempted to cancel it immediately and request a refund, yet the request was automatically denied without any clear or reasonable explanation.
What is even more concerning is the complete lack of accessible support. The phone support option is unavailable. The system repeatedly says “try again later.” The live chat option is either hidden or impossible to reach. It genuinely feels designed to prevent customers from speaking to a real human when billing issues occur.
For a company of this size and reputation, this level of inaccessibility is unacceptable. When a subscription is activated by mistake and canceled quickly — especially without meaningful usage — refusing a refund and blocking access to support reflects extremely poor customer care standards.
If this issue is not resolved properly, I will have no choice but to escalate this matter further and formally report the billing dispute.
This experience has seriously damaged my trust in the platform.
My son’s account was hacked on Friday. We have the persons email address who hacked. Reported it to Microsoft and they said there was nothing they could do. We’ve had no response to any emails sent to them since then. For a multi national corporation I think their apathy to cybercrime is disgusting. My next step is to report it to the police and BBC news. Revolting company, I would purge myself of every single Microsoft product if I could.
There was a time when PC meant personal computer. It was widely accepted to be one of the greatest gifts of technology. A company was founded on the basis of providing accessible access to computers to anyone who could afford it. The ethos goes much deeper than that, they sensationalized it to the point of parody at times. Obviously the company was microsoft. I don't know what exactly happened or when, but over the last 3 decades I've watched them remove every single thing that made a PERSONAL computer PERSONAL. I am now getting amorphous ads asking to allow FACEBOOK to push notifications to my desktop. I am no longer allowed to have a local account that doesn't default to "shared experiences". I am no longer allowed to separate my life in ways that are convenient to me. It is not CC or corporate computer, or PEC private equity computer, but still PC. I am so angry while writing this review, that I doubt I sound reasonable to anyone outside of an institutional setting. I spent 25minutes trying to access support to find out why the SECURITY passkey I set up for my PERSONAL computer was sending me notifications to my business email. I spent another 15minutes trying to access some form of support, do you know what I saw before being able to provide this feedback? I saw a window asking if I'd like to leave a compliment.... It's a joke. I'm the punchline, and the best part - I PAID FOR IT. I continually try to personalize my experience, turning off services, unselecting default settings that should've never been there to begin with only for another update to completely ignore any of those decisions - unilaterally decide to turn them back on and again diminish the agency I once had. It's not even on the micro level, but macro too. Zoom out, each new version of Windows slightly worse than the last. Let me say it again - this has gone on FOR 30 YEARS. I have been putting up with this for the majority of my life at this point. Linguistics could start a whole new field on how inept language is at describing the frustration I feel in this very moment. I want everyone to know how terrible this junk is. Maybe no one reads it and it's found in 3000yrs as some digitized version of a cuneiform - I want you to know, reader, MICROSOFT SELLS GARBAGE. They tell me it's good copper, but it's not pure. The service is HORRIBLE. The access to support (if you can even call it that) - yup also horrible. Their only solution is to remote in. No stranger, I don't want you on my PERSONAL machine. I don't know you, I don't like you. We are at odds. You make every single aspect of the user experience so unbelievably obtrusive and inconvenient it's ridiculous.
I could keep going. I will probably find another place to post another review, hopefully much longer and more salient than this mismosh of gripes cobbled together. I hate microsoft.
After someone hacked my account I contacted them
they said in an email the account got locked for security reasons and that I should create a new account AND BUY everything again
I spent more than a $100 on that account
I wasted 5 hours today trying to get ahold of a human to solve my account lockout issue. Had to use CGPT to find the phone number (it is hidden like the holy grail) & when I called it I got a recording telling me to use the website….which I tried/failed…hence why I need to speak with someone. When I finally did get a human (by spamming the chat bot with “live agent” as a reply to every prompt for 15 minutes) he told me to fill out the form that I already filled out….
On top of that…for a tech giant, the AI customer service is literally the worst I’ve ever seen. It’s should be called “Artificial Moron”. Way to showcase your bunk technology.
All because I just wanted to log into my Xbox & play Skyrim. I recently lost my passport & replacing that was far easier than logging into a gaming console!!!!
Most likely will never buy a MS product again. You just made a PS customer.
