Surface Pro plagued with hardware issues

My barely used Surface Pro 9 failed 2 months out of warranty. Microsoft support were dismissive, and suggested a £500 repair. Having owned Surface Pro devices for years alongside Apple computers, this is the final straw. Save yourself the hassle and avoid Microsoft.

Honesty and Transparency needed

These people need to be honest and transparent in notifying business customers a VPN will not allow people to sign into Outlook. In healthcare we use a VPN to protect your personal private identifiable health information. This is evidentially not a concern to Microsoft.

The worst customer service number and…

The worst customer service number and staff.One, the live person number , you can never get live person.Two, text to cancel subscription and they never get back to youThree, once you do get a live person on one of their many, many sites, to just cancel a subscription which was charged twice .. the person said I have to get a code … what??? Get this from a store , pay the price then call them back n give them the code then they will cancel.. if i question the task, the customer service person just hang up..Worst Microsoft company.. wish I don’t have to use them but we can’t that’s the problem!!!

Absolute complete and utter thieves. Admitted to a host of charges on my account being fraudulent, after SIX WEEKS of me fighting for them to look into it and having to hunt down the evidence myself!!! Allowed these fraudulent charges to be made using ONLY MY PHONE NUMBER! Which is disgusting in the first event, but after finally telling me they'd refunded me on 13th may I've now had to fight every day since to speak to anyone as that refund magically hasn't appeared in my account! I have emailed multiple times a day, requested callbacks every day which are always refused, spoken to a totally different " customer service " rep every day all of which say they will sort it to get me off the chat then do nothing, and now I've had to email the CEO!! How can such a huge global company get away with such shoddy customer service and such a lack of fraud prevention! It's a complete disgrace!

Can't make any kind of stable software without millions of bugs, I bet if they bought an app that had 0 bugs to begin with that by the next update it would have 100 new bugs. honestly can't wait to switch to Linux...

My FILES are held prisoner by MICROSOFT

Out of the blue I typed in my registered pin to login to my PC and it eventually loaded windows but gave error message to say 'we were unable to sign you into your Microsoft Account'. My files are not visible and all my mail & folders gone.To cut a long story short - I went through multiple procedures of signing out and back in (passwords are all correct) , creating a 'local profile' and trying to disable Windows Defender (can't do this without administrator access) etc. None of these work. Complete waste of time.To make matters work - at bottom of Microsoft support page it says:"If you still can't sign in to your profile after these steps, we'd like to know."Well, when you click the highlighted link to open their feedback hub to 'let them know' it opens up a totally BLANK page.Useless !Updated 04/06So, after hours of wasted time revalidating my account, changing passwords and signing out and back in I was able to off load the pain to a Microsoft support agent via ‘chat’ (from my IPAD). After he also validated my identity he advised I would either need to reload windows (which would remove all my 7 years worth of programs) OR wait 30 days before I could access my data and outlook/mail folders. Pathetic - truly pathetic.

Ripped off on direct purchase

I just bought Office Home & Business 2021 online directly from Microsoft for $250. They emailed me a product key to install Office Home & Student 2021 instead, which costs $100 less and doesn’t include Outlook. Tomorrow’s Memorial Day, so it’s going to be a while before I can contact the fools (which promises to be an unpleasant experience from the other reviews here) to correct their mistake and give me the product I purchased.UPDATEI tried a different route and was able to download the version of Office I purchased by going to my Microsoft account and finding the correct install link under My Orders. This was after the product key they initially gave me started a download of a cheaper version of Office that doesn’t include Outlook. I aborted that install and searched until I found a link to the product suite I bought. Although it still says it’s also installing Microsoft 365, which I didn’t request and don’t want. Microsoft = misdirection.

What's that Bill? You want to install an update on my PC which takes a screenshot of what I'm doing every five minutes? You want to install an AI agent on my PC, 'to help me'? You want to send telemetry back to base, to 'help you improve your services'? How about, NO! I don't trust this company as far as I could throw them, and neither should you. Time to install Linux.

I had the worst experience ever with…

I had the worst experience ever with Microsoft Advertising.I will never use their services ever again even if they pay me to.They have no problem charging you money; but they have very poor and buggy system; their policy team ban advertisers for reason and no reason.You contact support, they have no idea what policy violation took place and they block your account without prior notice and cause work stoppages.All other people who tried their advertising services shared similar experience.If you are not a mega multi million corporation, they treat you like trash and ban you for reason and no reason.Overall, total waste of time and money. Useless support/account managers and stupid policy teams.
