Overall had a good experience, the lads try their best with what processes they have in place and the manager was amicable. Luke was especially friendly and professional. In the end I decided on a different car and received my refund in around a week. My only comments would be to improve communication, I'm not sure the garage has a receptionist, it seems like different sales staff answer the phone and the sales@ email address and WhatsApp chat didn't receive a response for general enquiries.
Bought a Mercedes GLA around 2 months ago, Received the car in a very short space of time and car was and has been immaculate. Mark has been very helpful in ensuring the cars tax and v62 documents arrived quickly and safely. Would highly recommend motor trust!
Worst Garage ever!! Car broke down after 14 days. Through a vehicle diagnostic it was a steering rack and had other issues which I was not informed about before purchase. Was also provided a warranty that wasn’t valid for £1000. I rang them on there landline the day it broke down and spoke to Joe the sales rep he said he would phone back to check in and never did. Took a month to get a diagnostic done at Land Rover. Sent a email to them requesting a full refund they have not responded to any emails. I received a phone call saying they will not give a refund. I have now start the process with AA mediator they have been phoning for a week with no response!! and also informed the ombudsman. The main excuse is the member of staff that sold me the car no longer works there. Looks like legal action is the way to deal with this company. Wish I had seen all these negative reviews before purchasing.
I recently purchased a car from Tom at Motor Trust Bury. On the same day of collecting the vehicle, I noticed a persistent squeaking noise from the brakes every time I applied them. I returned the car to the garage for Tom and his team to investigate the issue. However, I was told there was nothing wrong with the car, and they refused to carry out any repairs.Several weeks on, the squeaking has continued without improvement. To get a second opinion, I visited both Kwik Fit and Halfords Autocare, describing the exact issue I had previously raised at Motor Trust Bury. Both garages independently diagnosed the same problem: the brake discs were worn and in need of replacement.I informed Tom of these findings, but he has continued to dismiss the issue and has refused to carry out any repair work, despite it now being clearly identified by two reputable automotive service centres.Based on this experience, it appears that once a sale is made at Motor Trust Bury, aftercare and customer satisfaction are no longer a priority. I’m very disappointed with the lack of responsibility taken and would caution others to be wary of the after-sales support.
Okay to start with, huge selection of cars to browse, absolutely zero pressure (which I loved), our sales guy Riz was knowledgable and helpful, they have nice little booths to do all your chit chatting in and the kids play area was a god send 👍🏼. We went on a Saturday to look at the car we had seen online, took it for a little test drive, decided that was the one we wanted - nice and easy. Riz looked round the car we were part exchanging, no questions asked, noticed a dent in the door, gave us a quote and happy days. Came back 4 days later to collect the car, (cause that’s how long it took to prep the new car) Riz took my old one for a little drive, obviously there were a few things wrong with it, Hense why I was getting rid, Riz took it to the mechanics and they decided they needed to offer us less for the car. Now maybe that’s their policy or whatever but I feel like that should have been done when we started this whole thing on the Saturday 🤷🏼♀️. So I’d ask that question if you’re thinking of going. Now I’m very happy with my car, I’ve had it 3 weeks now and I love it, I’ve had zero issues. However I will say it wasn’t cleaned to a good standard, there were lots and I mean lots of the controls on the steering wheel and the drivers door absolutely caked in makeup 💁🏼♀️. I would have mentioned it if I wasn’t on a time schedule, picking the car up took a lot longer than I thought it would too… But yeah overall a good experience, I’d buy from them again, I’d just be asking them to check my old car over properly to give a more accurate quote and I’d make sure it was cleaned proper!!
Purchased a car from there June 2025, would highly recommend as great service and quality of the stock. Staff are friendly and helpful without being overbearing like many over places can be. Big thanks for Riz for his advice, guidance and overall caring and friendly approach. Will certainly be back in the future.
