Review Time
My wife and I traveled from over seas and stayed in an apartment in East Grinstead while visiting family in the area. During that time, we rented a car. We were giving a key fob to enter the parking garage, told which spot to park in, and followed the directions given to us by the host. We were never given any parking tickets or told what we were doing was incorrect.A month after we arrived home we were contacted by the car rental company that we had parking tickets for parking in the garage. By this time, the window to dispute the tickets had closed and the fine increased an additional 40 pound (100 total). On top of that, the rental car company charge us an additional 240 as an administrative fee to pay the fine. As of now, we've been notified of at least 6 PCNs and the total cost to me is +700 pound.
The only negative was the difficulty in finding the address due to both my sat navs not recognising the supplied postcode nor street name. I assume that this is because it’s a new development. Just a slight annoyance though as a quick call to the office resulted in the property manager calling me and guiding me in. The apartment lives up to the ‘stunning’ description. Everything just as it should be. The location is excellent - only a 5 minute walk to The Derbion. I will certainly return.
