Nationwide is not on your side at all!!! I was with Nationwide for two years, and no accidents. I was involved in an accident. An e-bike hit the side of my car, and did damage to my vehicle. Edward C Bokern II, the adjuster for Nationwide came out to my work, and did my claims adjustment. He was aware the side view mirror was pushed backwards, and had damage. He then denied the repairs, after the adjustment. He is not a reliable adjuster. Be sure to always record your conversation with Edward C Bokern II. I did not find out until I got charged for the rental car that was rented again , due to the side view mirror not having been repaired. No email, no text, no call, no communication. Nationwide is a horrible insurance company. I would never recommend anyone have insurance through Nationwide.
For the last thee years I have called Nationwide life Insurance and asked for explanations on my life insurance policy. Seems like no one at Nationwide can provide any specific answers to my questions about my life Insurance policy. Let me explain. • I have a $25,000 life insurance policy, with a guaranteed 4% interest rate. The policy shows it grew past the $25,000 to a policy value of $32,600 with the interest. • Then Nationwide says the Value of Surrender rate for the life Insurance policy is now $35,300. • Then the most troubling comment made by Nationwide is .. Nationwide Life Insurance says the Guaranteed Surrender Value of the life insurance policy is only $15,000 dollars ! And No one there at Nationwide can explain to me whether they will just pay my love ones the way lower $15,000 dollar death benefit, when the policy death benefit was originally written for $25,000 dollars! with a cumulating 4% interest rate, which grew the life Insurance policy to $33,600 !! • This sounds like scam to me! Will they just pay the way lower $15,000 amount for the life insurance policy? short changing my love ones? c I do Not Trust a word of what Nationwide has been saying to me. So I requested written answers to these questions through the mail delivery and the internet. If I don’t get satisfactory answers, I will hire a lawyer and sue Nationwide! If this is happening or did happen to any other people, please Start complaining because this could become a Class action lawsuit against Nationwide life Insurance! I am Waiting for the written answers to my questions to arrive. If there is No clear answers, I will go to the courthouse to file a lawsuit! Against Nationwide!
I had major medical insurance for my dog for 7 1/2 years. Two months after he turned 8 Nationwide cancelled my insurance - they said it had nothing to do with his age,I never needed to use my insurance for my dog the whole 7 1/2 years.My insurance premiums when up every year and then they cancelled.Don’t trust that your premiums will not be raised and surely don’t trust that won’t just take your money and cancel you when they want!
If I could give zero starts I would, absolutely disgraceful closed my accounts all because I was given cash by my dying grandmother and had put it in my account, and because I am purchasing a property abroad clearly this bank has jealous issues. And now will not supply me with direct debit and standing orders I had set up with them,why you won't give me my information is beyond me. This is what you get for 7.5 years of service absolute joke
Just joined on 6 August '24. Failed to honour DD's. failed to allow transfer of small sum to Grandson for his birthday, failed to send a Card Reader!!!?? Who uses archaic card readers? Last time I used one was in early 1990s. Had enough after 72 hours and switched to another bank. Cut off on my call 4 times by 'so called' Customer Service - seems NATIONWIDE haven't the faintest idea of what those words stand for and perhaps not even the letters customer service. Sad disappointment that a Mutual can be this poor. I suspect the deficits go right to the top
I am an administrator for our company's 401k plan and we selected Nationwide last year to manage the plan. What a mistake! I would not recommend any company do the same - poor customer service on many occasions, lack of information, very poor communication when they transitioned to a new admin website, and they regularly ask for the same audit / compliance info that has already been provided. Just this week, I found out (on my own) that my account manager quit and when I called to inquire about my new account manager, they refused to tell me!? So odd! And they didn't offer to have anyone contact me as an alternative option. I had to have my financial advisor go through the advisor side of the business just to find out who my new account manager was and how I could get in touch with him/her. If it wasn't such a hassle to switch companies and move our company's 401k plan to a new company, I'd be doing that right now. I strongly dislike Nationwide and would never recommend any small business use their services.
I received a notice that Nationwide would not renew my homeowners insurance because of some peeling paint on my fascia and some some mortar missing on my entryway stair bricks. (Neither are structural). Meanwhile I have invested a significant amount of money in various house upgrades (I.e. remodeled bathroom, new metal roof, new garage cement pad, and a couple other cosmetic projects). If I could give less than 1 star I would.
This review is for Nationwide Home insurance and not bank.I have only been with Nationwide home insurance for a year and my policy is now coming to an end. My policy for next year has gone up by over £500! I called to try and get price down but no leeway given unless I whittle down my current cover. I have been quoted less by other companies for the same cover and am now forced to go with them but I wish Nationwide would show some loyalty to current customers.I have never made a single insurance claim, I get that costs have gone up etc and it had it been £100 increase I might have let it go but £500 is far too much.When I worked in insurance we always tried to keep our customer base - it cost the company less to keep current customers than to recruit new ones. Not sure what their business model is.
If I could give zero stars I absolutely would. Nationwide is 100 percent completely not on your side. This company literally took six months after a house fire where we lost everything to do an investigation…. To basically tell us we were screwed. Six months having to literally buy everything and scrape by while paying for a rental and the house payment for them to blame us and try to get out of payment. Guess what in that six months our credit fell so far trying to stay afloat, we have not a penny to rub together so they took long enough that we can’t hire a lawyer and we are screwed but not before they quadrupled our insurance policy and took full payment on that. A bunch of crooks, nationwide is absolutely the worst company
Dreadful!Applied for a FlexPlus account. Had documents sent though for T&C’s. Heard nothing, went to activate insurance policies that come with the account and realised nothing had been set up. Numerous phone calls, on hold, passed from pillar to post, went into the branch etc etc. Was told to reapply as there has been an issue. I was assured that the credit check would be taken off my report - I’m not confident this will be done! 2nd application - the same issue! ArghhhWould I like to spend half an hour doing a 3rd application over the phone…errr no thanks!We go on holiday on Monday and now have no insurance in place and wondering how opening a bank account can be so difficult?!
