Review Time
I ordered a lens, tried (and failed) to cancel my order before dispatch, and now Nikon won't reply to my emails asking for a return. That's the only way to sort it apparently but I'm being ignored. I have 14 days to return the item but for the last three I have been unable to sort a return. Avoid. Avoid. Avoid. It isn't worth the headache.
For the first time in 25 years of using Nikon Cameras and Lenses. This was the first one I had to have repaired, My truly loved Nikon Z7ii. I got a fast response from Nikon with a guide quote. And full clear instructions of how to send my camera in for a repair including them suppling a pre paid address label. Feeling really anxious about letting my pride and joy go off with a carrier, I was soon put at ease when Nikon sent me confirmation of receiving it listing everything I sent to them. Also a link so I could keep Track of every step of the process I received an estimate for the repair which I agreed. soon I could see the parts were on order , 24 hours later parts received and camera with technician. a few days later I was informed repair was complete and ready to ship back to me. Also the cost was considerably lower that the estimate over £100.00 less. Tracked camera all way back home. It's like I have a new camera. Never needed to be concerned at all. A really professional service at a good cost.
My Nikon D750 went back for the free shutter fix and on its return I realised there were what appeared to be dust specks in the viewfinder that had not been there before. On the customer feed back form I noted this and received a message apologising and inviting me to send the camera back for it to be cleaned. I then received a message explaining that ‘mould’ had been found in the viewfinder and that it could be either cleaned or the viewfinder replaced with no guarantee that the problem would be cured. I chose the clean option and the camera was returned. The whole process took a while, but the quality of work completed and the clarity of communication with Nikon staff was exceptional. Thank you all involved your efforts are much appreciated and the camera is in ‘as new’ condition… my fingers are crossed that the fungus/mould does not return…
When, I needed to send my camera lens for a minor repair I found the whole process easy to use and very efficient. I was kept updated on a regular basis to the progress of the repair and on the eventual return of my lens. I would certainly recommend Nikon’s service.
Submitted an obsolete camera for assessment following water ingress. Very positive attitude from Nikon. Camera fully repaired at an excellent price. Fully cleaned and additional minor ancillary damage repaired. It was returned to me looking like new and in excellent working order.
My Nikon D750 camera was recalled for a shutter issue. The service from Nikon was second to none, from the ease of booking my repair throughout the whole process. As well as repairing the issue by replacing the whole shutter mechanism, Nikon cleaned and serviced my camera, cleaned the sensor and replaced all the rubber grips. The best part is that it was all at zero cost to me. Communication throughout was superb. My camera is now like new.
Being a Nikon user for a newspaper for forty years 🙈 I just like to thank Fraser for his help in getting a replacement Z9 camera for me while mine was getting fixed, his a great credit to Nikon. Being a member of NPS has its advantages even tho I rarely used it. Anyway my own came back after a small wait, cleaned and in perfect working order. Thanks Nikon service
