Review Time
I ordered a pair of size 12 Low 1’s from Oliver Cabell back in September. Whilst the shoes looked and felt to be of good quality, they turned out to be much tighter than described and were more akin to a size 10. The company refused to cover the cost of my return, leaving me on the hook for international shipping costs. Once the items were received at their warehouse, I experienced radio silence from their customer service team and all of my emails were ignored. I eventually had no alternative but to raise a dispute with my credit card provider in order to get my money back.Despite the plethora of glitzy social media advertising, this company is not worth the risk.
Purchased sneakers that were too small and returned them the same day I received them. Still waiting over a month to be refunded. Customer service says they need to be inspected by their “returns team.” Total scam! Hoping I get my money eventually, but based on these other reviews, I’m starting to get nervous.
I wish the shop would estimate the taxes for US - EU shipping. I had no idea that the shoes will be shipped from US, otherwise I wouldn’t buy because of tax! But by the time I got the shipping docs and wrote to support to cancel the order that’s what I got in response, read: “ Unfortunately, we can't change/adjust an order after it's placed. The reason for it is that we work with a fulfillment center called Quiet Logistics (who supports Away luggage, Warby Parker, Harry's, etc), who processes tens of thousands of orders a day. They're amazing, but have a big downfall in that they don't give us the ability to adjust an order after it's received (due to how quickly they like to process things). I'm really sorry I can't be of more help here. We really appreciate you as a customer and want to be as helpful as possible. Unfortunately, our hands are just tied here. I hope you understand.”I understand the reasoning (somewhat), but the fact that I had to pay taxes for delivery from US was unexpected. EU fellow residents, take care and double check the prices. They aren’t so good if you compare to local shops.
I like a shoes I received, however it took over 5 month to receive my shoes delivery.I placed an order in early June and received my shoes in the end of November.I inquired about arrival time couple times.Everytime support team was very kind and appologized for delaying, informed me of the latest estimate time.First time,I was told my shoes will be delivered by the end of September. When I inquired second time in October,I was told by end of October.Third time,by early November.I wasn't in a rush for the shoes,so I was okay. But it was too long to receive just a pair of shoes cost almost $200.I will probably spend same amount of money for other brands which ship my shoes quickly,so I don't have to make inquiries and don't have to worry about my order.I think support team should have followed up for further delay from them, not from me.
Ended up returning shoes because too narrow and Oliver Cabell doesn’t offer widths. Delivery and return process was awful. Shipment was delayed by more than a month; was told by customer service that they made a mistake when proceesing and that order would be rushed which it never was (order was placed two weeks before Thanksgiving on hopes I would use on my travel, was not delivered until 2 weeks after). Return process was difficult as automated return process would not work. Dealing with customer service over email was a pain, with return communications from Oliver Cabell generally taking 48 hours +. No plan to ever order or recommend brand again.
