Upgraded from the 6 to the 12 ,even though in the UK the price is far higher than the US. Never had an issue with the 6 , and initially with the 12 .since some updates , apps started misbehaving and one never even worked at all . Contacted customer services and they have not at all been helpful . Sorry i bought it now , paying equivalent in UK of around $1000, which was 20% off the original price . Really not worth buying in UK .
I used to be a huge fan but I will never buy a OnePlus again... I bought a OnePlus but 3 weeks later my storage was full with 90% of it being system storage that I couldn't do anything about. Customer support asked me to do a factory reset so I did, knowing the problem would resurface. 3 weeks later - same problem. They tried a remote session which couldn't fix the problem so I sent the phone in for repair. Had the repaired phone for about 1 month when the problem arose for the 3rd time. Sent it in for repair again. Had this repaired phone for about 6 weeks and the problem arose for the 4th time. I sent it in for repair/replacement. They couldn't repair it so they sent me a brand new device. Had this brand new phone for about 5 weeks and the problem came back FOR A 5TH TIME. Their customer service is terrible. Emailing, calling or live chat - it doesn't matter. It takes ages for them to get back to you. It would typically be a few days between emails so I was without a phone for a week after which they had me send it in for 'repair' so I was without my phone for another week. They sent my case to the 'escalation support'. They asked for a few days to look into it. Didn't hear from them. I called. They asked me to wait a day or two to hear from them. The next day they contacted me only to ask me to wait another 3-5 days. I asked to speak to a supervisor. They were 'busy' but would call me back in an hour or two. I never got a call back. Eventually they sent me a second replacement device (so my third device). Guess what... same issue. 9 months after I bought the phone I still had no fix and had to give up and bought a Pixel. Terrible customer service. Rather than admit that they didn't have a fix and send me a replacement device that was a newer model (that didn't have the problem) or issue me a refund they just refused. I would wholeheartedly recommend staying away from OnePlus.
I’ve been a long-time OnePlus user, owning the OnePlus 6T, 8, and 8T — all of which were great phones overall, aside from the occasional issue with the fingerprint reader. The software used to be the best part of the OnePlus experience — simple, clean, fast, and close to stock Android. But after the OxygenOS 13 update, everything changed for the worse. It now looks and feels just like ColorOS, completely losing that unique OnePlus identity that made the brand stand out in the first place. The new interface is cluttered, overcomplicated, and nothing like the classic OxygenOS we all loved. What’s worse, my OnePlus 8T became extremely sluggish and slow after the update. I even did a full factory reset to try to fix the problem, but it made absolutely no difference. The smooth performance that OnePlus was known for is completely gone.I honestly think the OxygenOS 13 update was designed to push consumers into buying newer OnePlus models. I held onto my 8T for as long as I could, but eventually switched — and thankfully, my new phone is miles better. I don’t care about flashy specs or fast charging; for me, it’s all about the software experience and how smooth it runs. Sadly, OnePlus has lost what made it special. On top of that, every time I’ve contacted OnePlus customer service about issues with their phones, I’ve found them to be rude, blunt, and unprofessional. It’s clear OnePlus puts more effort into their hardware than they do into helping their customers. Their support team seriously needs to improve.OnePlus used to care about its loyal customers — the people who believed in the brand from the beginning. Now it feels like they’ve completely forgotten about us.
I bought a tablet.I was unable to accept the delivery.Package was automatically returned to sender.Been 4 months.Did not receive a refund yet. While their FAQ clearly states this would be the case.First they claimed we received the product and activated it, even while the delivery service acknowledged our claim that it was send back to onePlus. Then they claimed the could not find the product.Tried to make me sign a waver where i did receive the package, did not sign it.Finaly after 3.5 months, would refund. We did not receive a refund, nor is there a payment pending.Oneplus refused to provide us with the account number, to which the refund was made, nor with a transaction (bank)statement.Only providing us with a transaction ID.
I have never had an issue with any of the 7 OnePlus phones I have owned. I currently use the OnePlus12 and it's an absolute gem. No complaints except that this model does not have the standard 3.5 mm headphone jack. It's usb-c, Bluetooth or nothing. But that's not a deal breaker I can buy a dongle.
I am a long-time customer, I ordered the original OnePlus 1 phone when it came out. This company is nothing like it once was. Their first phones were based on CyanogenMod (now known as LineageOS) which is arguably one of the best barebones yet feature-packed and customisable Android flavors. Fast forward to today, OnePlus phones come with OxegenOS which is a bloated, unintuitive, nag-screen galore of a mess. No other Android OS locks down and forces certain notifications styles and options upon its users. Do you like media playback controls to to remain as a persistent banner/notification? Too bad, all you get a tiny media tile that requires extra clicking to before you can seek, rewind/fast forward. Do you like utilizing all that extra RAM you paid tons of money to have? Well too bad, despite your battery settings OxygenOS will ignore your battery preferences and close the apps you chose to allow to run in the background. Frequently, when I pause media with the phone in my pocket, in less than a minute I can't resume playback because the app was closed. I'm force to unlock my phone and open the app to resume. Very impractical and infuriating if you're working and your hands are busy, dirty or in gloves. This app has unexplained "ghost"notification sounds. You don't know which app caused the notification and there is no way to find out how to silence future nagging. This OS is a hot mess. Needless to say I was disappointed that I paid premium money for a flagship device and all I got was junky phone. I've been emailing and calling OnePlus to get a shipping label so I could return the phone and they just give me the run around, including their escalation dept. Their customer service is a joke. It's unreal just how bad it is. I wish I had looked at Trust Pilot before I ordered from them. They tell you everything you want to hear and that the problem will be resolved in 24/48 hours and nothing gets resolved. The issue isn't even complicated: Find or generate a new shipping label. I think they want to run the clock out on me so that I'm ineligible to return this phone. The bad reviews here are in the thousands. How does a company like this stay in business or continue operating this way so shamelessly?
if your based in the UK do not use their trade in service it's by the worst I have come across your item is shipped to Italy then they will reassess and ask to pay you less which I accepted so initially was quoted £85 but said 68 I took this thinking I don't want the hassle getting item back waiting etc but beware its all done in euros I ended up getting £55 which cex would have honoured absolutely ridiculous but on their website it says in GB
I'm very happy with the watch 2. It is fast, its battery lasts long enough to see the next day but better put it in charge every morning. It'll be back to %100 in no time anyway. It charges super-fast indeed. It's hard to find something to criticize other than it's not Google or Samsung but most of the built in apps are android related anyway. Few bloatware.
