Review Time
OnePlus are trying to sell us their very expensive phones, stating that they are very innovative and worth the money, and their website they use to sell it is one of the worst buggy sites I've ever had to deal with. Nothing works on it, non stop errors, stupid navigation, a joke. My friend said he would never buy from OnePlus because their site is so bad and I have to agree with that. Not that their site let's me buy a phone anyway or even raise a support ticket to solve their buggy site, because I even get an error there!
I read a lot of bad reviews on Oneplus, which was very concerning since I needed to return a purchase.Anxiously I waited, expecting my refund to take forever, or for there to be a problem - but it was all fine. The time between sending back my phone to receiving the refund confirmation took 3 days - and all I need to do now is wait for it to land in my bank.Whether a product is good or not is largely subjective, but overall, customer service in the UK has been good - although the 'contact' page on the website is very difficult to navigate! As for the product I returned - the new 'OnePlus 13' phone is almost perfect, but I returned it due to the software not meeting my expectations. For example, it is impossible to permanently disable the Google Discover feed, and it doesn't play well with custom launchers that use gesture controls! If they were to fix these irritations, I would buy again!
I went to trade in my OP8T via their website and was offered £70. This then changed to €70.....I sent the phone in and surprise, surprise they changed the offer to €31. This was a complete waste of time and they've acted in bad faith. The reason for the lower valuation is that the phone shows signs of use...I asked for a cost to return the device as this has to be borne by myself as part of the T&Cs. No price was offered or details about how the device will be returned.I am extremely interested to know if the cost will be more than the value of the phone... This is extremely bad from a major Android phone retailer. It is bad enough you spend £800 on a phone that comes with no charger or case and then you get shafted on the trade-in on your older one. There are other trade-in companies that act much better than this and my advice is to avoid using the trade in program with OnePlus (who outsource the whole thing to a separate company).**Update**I asked for my phone to be returned due to the unacceptable price offered. I paid the £23 for them to ship it back to the UK on January 28th. It is now the February 12th and I still have not received my device, let alone had confirmation that it has shipped. This is borderline fraud at this point and I will now have to escalate legally with OnePlus. Note to OP, no I am not contacting your generic email just for you to fob me off.
I never leave reviews on anything so if you are reading this, please reconsider buying a phone from this company. I had bought a OnePlus13 phone which I had received towards the end of January. Once I had received the phone, I immediately returned it to USPS same day for personal reasons. I had gotten a tracking receipt and even emailed OnePlus customer service that I had returned the phone and asked how long it would take to get my refund once they had retrieved the phone, which they said 5-7 business days. Well about a week passes and I did not get any emails stating that they had gotten the phone even though my tracking ID said it was delivered. I emailed them asking if they had gotten the phone with a screenshot showing that the phone was delivered. About another week passes and I STILL haven’t gotten any emails about them receiving the phone. I continue to email them and they updated my case ID number many times because the threads were getting “too long” so at this point I just decided to call the, because in the emails, they kept telling me to wait another 2-3 business days as they were delayed on even responding to my original email. When I called their customer service, they said they couldn’t talk over the phone because the case was opened under emails?? I have never heard of such BS!! It’s all one company and that company should have access to all files and cases. At this point I was livid because I had sent the phone back 2 weeks ago, they said they had no tracking on it, and I’m sitting here with $954 no where. I understood once I bought the phone that that money would be taken out, no big deal, and I had a trade in so I was expecting money back either way. Thank God I didn’t send my phone in. Well a month later and after STILL getting emails saying “please give us another 24-48 business hours”, they said around 11 TIMES” I filed a chargeback dispute. That seemed to be the only way to get that money back and guess what, 4 days later I got my refund back. This email thread lasted 34 emails. 34. I will never recommend this company to anyone or their phones.
OnePlus has been withholding payment for my trade in. Their email stated I'd get it within 5 business days of them accepting it which they did. I did not get it in 5 business days. When I brought it to their customer service's attention, two reps, Annie Brown and Carl Roy both lied to my face that I'd get it within 15 days of me receiving my new device even though they refused to reference whatever terms they read that information from. Its been 15 days and I still don't have the money. When a company puts something in writing I hold them to their word. The fact that they keep changing the facts and moving the goalpost in when I would get the money despite clear documentation from both emails and chat logs that I'd get my money within a period of time is just insulting to my intelligence. Their phones are great but doing business with them is almost criminal.
Despite their quality products, I find their support truly pathetic. After ordering the OnePlus 13 + watch + charger directly from their website:The phone arrived with an open box and covered in fingerprints.Customer service made a mistake and decided to refund me instead of replacing the product.Response times are way too long (one month since the order, and the issue is still unresolved).I can’t get the same promotion again, and all products are out of stock after just one month. This is anything but professional.Bye OnePlus.
Back in the day this used to be a great company, I have been buying my phones here for the last 10 years. The last one, Oneplus 13 is a real low quality for high price. My last order you still got the charged included, now even this is not included anymore...The plastic casing? Also not included anymore. My new phone (Oneplus13 ) fell 1 time, and it's completely shattered, can't use it anymore.Good luck trying to repair it, the support doesn't help you at all, and most local shops don't support this phone repairs. Will never order at Oneplus again.
Update #2 - tried calling customer service again ask to speak with a manager placed on hold the agent came back and informed me the manager was busy and for me to go to the website that’s all she could recommend. Hung up with her called back got a gentleman this time who again placed me on hold then came back and said the same thing. Hung up with him and called my bank. Getting my money back. This thing is a total fraud.Buying a Samsung!Update- Received my new 1 Plus 13, unable to download and open manual this I have no way of knowing how it works. Customer service is closed again ( I live in CA they are on the East Coast) calling tomorrow getting a refund buying anything else (string and 2 tin cans) NEVER AGAIN! New customer haven’t even gotten my new 13 yet and after dealing with customer service I’m not even going to sign for it I’m just sending it back. The lack of response and inability to get information from 1 plus is unbelievable!
Incredibly disappointing product and customer service. Would give zero stars if I could. Purchased the Earbuds Pro 3 - had issues from the start with the microphone not working, noise cancellation was appalling and sound quality incredibly poor. Sent the product back for a refund (was told they couldn't refund as it was 33 days post purchase date and outside their policy... the 30th day was Christmas day!). Once Oneplus received the product, they acknowledged the issues with the earbuds and admitted the product was faulty, yet they haven't sent me a replacement (or a refund). Its been 3+ weeks and I keep getting the same excuse. I am £160 pounds down! Worst decision I have made purchasing this product, just want my money back!
I recently bought a set of charger and the cable which is quiet expensive. It wasn't working. I contacted customer service and they failed. Forget about resolving the issue, they take their own time to reply. I have now found out that the actual problem is with the brick and not the cable. I feel cheated by this company and will never buy their products ever.
