Oneplus customer service is abysmal. I will never buy from them again and strongly advise against anyone doing so. Order cancelled May9th 2023. Reepatedly. No refund. Item still sent mid June: was supposed to be collected . Wasn't. Sent back July 5th. Received July 6th. Oneplus attemoted to take trade-in moneyfrom my bank account more than 25 times despite repeated contact and return of purchase. Then they threatened my credit rating. (and also informing me that I may not be able to buy from them again 🙏!) Item cancelled so no trade-in required. Customer service just spout woolly waffle about trusting the process 😂 what process? Item returned intact and sealed on 6th July. Now August 7th and no refund. DO NOT BUY FROM THIS COMPANY
I have had multiple OnePlus phones in the past and customer service has been ok. I currently have a OnePlus 5 and am looking to update my phone. I decided to buy a phone for my father and use their trade in offer. The trade in offered for the phone was not honoured without a reasonable explanation. When I called up for the reasons they claimed the phone returned was faulty. This is definitely not the case as the phone was being used up until the day it was returned. I would not buy from this company if you intend to trade in an older device.
Quality went s**t, every update there's something broken, the other day I woke up and my phone was locked asking for decryption password that's never been set, with one of previous updates many users experienced wifi connectivity issues (me included) which weren't solved for like over a year... AVOID AT ALL COST!
I've owned 2 OnePlus phones since 2018 and loved them both. When the 11 came out I decided to upgrade. They said I could trade in my latest phone, and quoted me a price for it. This made the deal much better of course. I made the purchase, including my discount. I returned the old phone and a few days later received a message saying that my phone was account locked, so it had now value and my discount was now denied. Since I have used my old phone on at least 4 different providers in 3 different countries, I didn't understand what they were talking about. In the meantime, the new phone arrived. I didn't open the new phone (stayed in original package) while I was emailing the company about my old phone. I finally gave up after about a week because they never really answered my question, except by using a different set of words. (may be I'm too dense). During this time, I guess the clock was running on my ability to return the new phone, since the discount of my old phone was denied. However, I didn't realize that. So finally, after giving up on the support with OnePlus, I asked to return the phone. But I just received a message saying my return window has now expired. So I'm unhappy with the company.
Not the same company i dealt with 6 years ago. When purchasing the OnePlus phone from OnePlus website, i chose their warranty package. Phone (in warranty) is being serviced by their supplier. As soon as the phone was received by the support supplier, asked for 200+ euro (parts out of warranty) i payed and have heard little from them since. Status keeps changing from 'pending spare parts' to 'parts delivered'. I have purchased a number of phones over the years, where i have had great customer experience, but now it looks like i have no phone and am down 200+ euro. OnePlus have not taken ownership of this issue even after purchasing their plan.
Ordered the OnePlus 10T on Friday the 9th of September, with next day priority delivery, which I paid extra for.. it's now the 12th of September.. and OnePlus still hasn't shipped the device I paid for to DPD winnit.. DPD within chat even says they haven't received the shipment.. so how exactly is the device I paid for going to reach me within the next 5 hours.. if OnePlus haven't even sent it to DPD.. it's impossible.. I even paid for priority delivery with DPD on top of the priority shipping I paid for..Not happy at all.. I expect an explanation.. on my order status on my OnePlus account the device shows as being prepared etc.. not shipped.. I have no tracking updates.. nothing.. I spoke to OnePlus after placing the order on the 9th of September and they slipped up and said something about a possible hold on my order.. and then completely switched the conversation to another topic.. saying I would definitely recieve the phone today.. I brought up about paying for next day delivery / priority delivery.. they not only acknowledged that I had paid for the priority delivery, but made an excuse about a hold or something, then like I said switched the topic saying it would be with me by today... If I don't get the device today, I expect a refund for the VIP DPD delivery I paid for.. not to mention the refund I let slide for the priority next day shipping that never happened..It's all fine though taking money out of my bank account.. but if I'm not receiving what I've paid for.. that is literal fraud.. Of course I will get a reply with an excuse but this isn't right.. I have recently been a loyal OnePlus customer.. I've recommended their devices to everyone I know.. because I recently purchased the OnePlus 9 pro second hand.. and I loved the device.. I had the OnePlus 6T back when that was released.. and I also had the OnePlus 3T.. I always came back.. and this is how I'm treated..If this item isn't dispatched soon.. I will be opening a fraud enquiry with my bank..
Tried contacting their customer support about a newly bought DAC (FiiO KA1) that the phone would not recognize, i proceeded to have the worst customer support experience of my life with what sounded like a teenager with absolutely no IT experience, at all.. just reading up from a script which ended at the conclusion that the accessory i bought has compatibility issues...If OnePlus is not capable of designing a phone without a jack output and make it compatible with external DACs... Well that's something alright...I'm never getting a OnePlus again and i would recommend anyone else the same!Horrible software, horrible phones and horrible service!
If you have already purchased anything from oneplus, when it breaks down, lift the oneplus item and throw it in the trash. I spent hours over a 2 month period sending emails taking pictures sending clips answering the same questions over and over again, then after all that they wanted me to install some software which they can take control of my pc with the phone connected to it. AVOID AT ALL COSTSStuart
After 9 months of email correspondence over 30 mails without having a phone that worked. they have now sent a new one so that only worked one day. Then they do not correspond to my emails. I can not describe in words how bad an experience they have been. Now in 2300 kr. Poorer :-)
