Onuia’s towels and bath mats that I ordered are very high quality. When I experienced shipping problems (they do take awhile to receive), my customer care representative (Emily) was very friendly and responsive about looking into the issue. It was so appreciated to have such efficient care.
I felt scammed by their deceptive marketing but since receiving the 10 bath towels, I’m happy with the colour and the sewing quality. The towel I tried is absorbent. Haven’t tried it in the wash but I’m sure it requires a gentle wash based on the other reviews of piling and fraying. Originally tried to cancel my order after being uncomfortable with the company’s reviews and spoke with a chatbot named Emily. I don’t think I will return the towels as they work well and are soft and the tag says Egyptian cotton — Maybe it is, maybe it isn’t.Was offered a partial refund. I suggest they change their advertising. It ruins the buying experience for people excited for fairly priced towels.
Absolute scam, don’t buy from this company. Advert says based in Netherlands, it sells cheap Chinese rubbish. Thin poor quality towels, and ridiculously poor quality robe (nothing like the pics!). Company offered 15% of cost to not send back, but I wanted my full refund as items not as advertised. I paid to return the items and one month later they are stuck in a Chinese customs apparently waiting documentation from me. I have been unable to speak to anyone at Chinese customs. Liaised with Onuia to explain the situation. They are not interested, won’t refund until they receive their cheap towels back! My advice - don’t bother, don’t waster your money with these scammers! Update: Upon posting the review Onuia were responsive and reached out to apologise for the poor quality of the items received. They have also offered a full refund, which I am waiting on. Watch this space. I will update once the refund has arrived.
I am very disappointed with these towels. The quality is VERY poor. What even is this company? When I reached out to return these, I was instructed to ship it to China at my expense - isn't that against their own policy?I couldn't warn people enough about this product. Do NOT buy.
- Towels had cut out tags; clearly returned, used, or falsely advertised- Towels have no wash instructions or sewn in material list so you know what type of materials they are made from- Towels shipped from China when they are marketing themselves as being in Amsterdam- Trying to charge me $45 for a return to China- Drawing out process for return by offering 10% off, then 15% off etc. to close 30 day return window
