Love this product and company, COVID-19 delayed my shipment but the company was so professional in trying their best to update as much a possible and was always so polite every time we spoke. Definitely will be reordering and have already referred to friends and family.
My order took a while to come in as expected with all this stuff going on but the lovely people in the customer service got back to my questions pretty quickly and reassured me. I finally got my custom paintgem and a few extras I ordered and I'm so beyond pleased at the detail they put into the custom picture I ordered! Definitely worth the wait!
Honestly, I love the products. Its so much fun and relaxing to sit and focus on nothing but your gems and let your mind wander. It took a little longer to arrive to me than I would have originally liked, but the company is working with me to handle it. I really look forward to purchasing more, and continuing my relationship with this company.
Due to COVID, shipping took a very long time BUT it was so worth the wait!! I bought a gem kit from Joanns to tide me over until my shipment came in and so I have something to really compare it to. The most important thing worth noting however, is their EXCELLENT customer service. They were on top of every message I sent, ready with answers, and incredibly kind. That alone is why I didn't cancel my order and ask for a refund. I want to support small businesses with big hearts like these people. I'm so glad I did too.1. The canvas Paint Gem uses feels thicker and heavier and overall a better quality. 1a) I don't know about the tack of the glue, I don't want to mess with it. Finish one project before you start another. 2. The Paint Gem beads are square, while the kits you'd get at Joanns or Hobby Lobby are round, so there's gaps between the beads that aren't noticeable from a distance, but certainly make a difference when placing them. 2a) I haven't started a Paint Gem canvas yet so I'm not sure how much of a difference it'll really make, but it makes my OCD happy. 3. The Paint Gem tools are definitely superior quality. Softer wax in the adorable macaroon cases that you actually get with each kit anyway, and they can easily be turned into lip balms or small medicine cases once used up. Each wand comes with two attachments that you can put either a row of 3 or a row of 8 beads all at once. (LIFE SAVER I'M TELLING YOU) plus the pink gem wand is cute, comfortable, and well balanced if you like the weight of pens more than the empty tube. Each kit came with a macaroon wax, a tray, a wand, two wand attachments, and a comfort grip for the wand. I have looked in stores for other accessories and they simply aren't there. (Except Amazon/ online of course)A couple of ways I think they could improve their website:1. Have an accessories only tab. What else can make this fun thing even better/ easier to do? Different trays, more wand packs to do this with friends, wand extensions, extra beads/ colors, etc.2. Faster shipping for the cost. I am so pleased with the higher quality but it came at such a higher cost. My Joanns kit was $20 with coupons and needing to buy extra beads. This was $72, but I got 3 kits, better wands, better wax, etc. FREE 2 day shipping over $50 or something. All in all I'm quite pleased with the product from opening the box. We'll see how well the pictures turn out when I'm done but until then, I'd say it's worth the try.Only 4 stars because I haven't started a kit yet.
I'm sure there was a surge in orders since so many people were following "Stay at Home" orders. This led to very long waits for packages to be shipped and delivered. That said, the customer service I received was excellent. These delays were beyond anyone's control and the customer service team responded to every communication I sent. I would order from Paintgem again.
Initially my kit was experiencing shipping delays, but the assistance I received from customer service was wonderful. They were able to help with locating my package and I received it a few days later. The kit itself looks great! I was impressed with the canvas and gems, very beautiful!Even though there were shipping delays (about a 2 month delay from shipping confirmation), I'm giving 5 stars as shipping isn't entirely within the company's control. Especially during times of heightened stress worldwide (COVID-19).
