The Waltham Abbey centre …

The Waltham Abbey centre is a lovely place to go, I use the swimming pool, it is very accessible and enjoy my time there. And all the staff are very helpful and polite. A very enjoyable place to visit.

A fabulous space!

My leisure centre is a wonderfully organised place. It cares for the whole community. It’s a lifeline for so many individuals, young and old. People look happy, the children acquire a real sense of purpose, safe environment. The staff are helpful and the instructors are incredibly supportive and professional. Moreover, it is wonderful place to meet people and make friends.

Wouldnt even give it a one star!

Sparkhill Pool and Fitness Centre has been one of the most disappointing gym experiences I’ve had. From unhelpful, dismissive staff to a gym floor that is consistently messy and unhygienic, the standards are shockingly poor. There’s been an ongoing air conditioning issue that many gym members, including myself, have repeatedly raised with staff. Despite this, no real measures have been taken to keep the gym floor cool—especially during peak hours when it becomes unbearably hot and uncomfortable to work out. When I approached a staff member named Chris about the issue, he casually brushed it off and said it “should be fixed over the weekend”, offering no immediate solution or concern for member comfort and safety.Absolutely avoid this gym. There are far better options in the area with professional staff and clean, well-maintained facilities

A large diverse leisure centre, with two pools and a gym.

I am a member (and have been one for a long time). The centre is well run with lots of activities. If you are visiting Eastleigh or are new to the area it is well worth checking their web site to see if they do something of interest to you. If you want to swim check the pool timetable. General swimming is fairly limited with mainly lane swimming during the day except for school holidays. They have a good gym with a lot of new machines. There are far more activities available than I can put into reasonably short review.

Slide and whirlpool both out of order, yet we are paying full price

I was advised at the desk before booking Horsham Pavillions Pool (literally two days before our visit) that the slide was (yet again) out of order for weeks (bummer). But nothing was mentioned about the fact the water jets that make the current for the outside whirlpool part are also completely broken. Paid full amount, no discount despite both features being out of order, and every member of staff I asked on duty said the whirlpool jets had been out of order for a very long time. The pool water was cold enough to make us need to get out frequently because the kid's lips went blue, despite the front desk saying it should be warm. 2 adults and 2 kids utterly bored for the entire time. In the women's toilets in the changing room there is a freezing cold fan/aircon pointing at you as you enter, brilliant for when you have wet kids that need to wee. The only good bit was the warmth of the showers at the end.All in all... go to the Triangle instead lol.Such a shame because it is a perfectly decent multimillion pound facility and yet it is being run like an afterthought. To be clear, I don't blame the staff, I blame the management.

Amazing lido

Amazing lido, with all the necessary facilities (changing room, lockers, coffee tea food). There's parking nearby though limited, so give yourself time to find a spot or try the overflow park. The pool was clean and its great for those who want a bigger pool option, being 91m
