Fantastic leisure centre, swimming lessons were a breeze! The teachers were amazing my daughter completed all 7 levels with confidence. She now does gymnastics and again the teachers are professional, fun and makes the classes even more enjoyable. I always find the staff here helpful and polite. Also to add when they do the inflatable obstacle course, I’ve always seen they make children feel comfortable and are ready to help specially when a child is not as confident in the water but wants to still have fun.
I have used Chamberlayne Leisure Centre {Southampton) for around 10 years, paying full membership at a max of £200, but more recently discounted to £120 as the centre struggled. Peoples Leisure have recently taken over and having enquired about renewing my membership I’m told it will now be in excess of £300, just to use the gym! I understand that there maybe an increase under new ownership, however a jump from £120 to over £300 is not respectful of long standing customers and this is one customer among probably many more, they have lost!
Really difficult to book online more than 1 person. I tried to book 2 granddaughters in the leisure pool - that was ok. But then tried to book my grandson and his grandfather in for lanesvswimming. Couldn’t do it without a great hassle. Not an easy website. Little practical help from reception. Shall go elsewhere.
I attended the swim session at Tooting Lido, for the first time. Was very pleased, except some of the staff seemed a bit aggressive, and non verbal when asked for assistance. Also the female facilities could do with a bit of a "clean", and stock replacement such as loo paper and feminine needs.
