Review Time
We took out the extra insurance cover when we made a booking with an accommodation provider over in Australia. We cancelled the booking within the free cancellation period, so nothing to claim. Therefore the insurance cover has never incepted - I have been trying endlessly to get a refund of that insurance premium and the latest reply from Refundable.me is that I have to ask the software provider to refund me which is totally wrong, I don’t usually let crap like this get to me but it isn’t a small amount and I need it for urgent bills, so so angry!!!
I booked flight for my mum 15 days before deperture date and applied for her visa and i trusted them if she did get her visa they will refund it as she do not have any travel document and i have provided them evidence for that her application is not finalised yet. they keep asking for more evidence and not processing my refund.
Although this company has a strict refund criteria, I found the team sincere and supportive who advised me what document to submit to secure a full refund of our international flight tickets. Appreciate it. I would suggest everyone to go through their refund policy document first before submitting the application to avoid potential refusal. The best part was once the refund application was approved, I received the money within minutes in my bank account.
Scam artists and hide behind either unreasonable or impossible requests for for further information as a method of declining genuine claims. I could not attend an event due to a badly sprained ankle. They requested a medical certificate which I arranged and paid for however this was not ‘acceptable’ as it was obtained after the date of the event, despite the medical professional determining and confirming the injury and when it occurred The ACCC will now be notified and let’s all hope, judging by the numerous other reviews, this type of scam company is shut down.
Update: After my review, I was contacted by refundable.me and got a refund on my tickets. They handled the situation very well and professionally, that is why i will update the review. For the future, please do check the terms before paying for the refund when purchasing tickets.I had booked tickets to an event I cannot attend due to a family situation. In the terms it says "All refunds are considered within our discretion" and "Any reason for a refund must not have been foreseeable at the time You made the Booking." My reason was not foreseeable. Still the application was denied within 5 minutes after submitting it, so I do not trust that it was considered at all by any living person. It was denied because I did not choose the correct reason, and there is some kind of automatic screen, which "considers" the application (denies automatically if right reason is not chosen).
