I recently had a deeply disappointing experience with Retainer Xpress, and I feel compelled to share my ordeal to prevent others from encountering similar frustrations. Initially seeking a simple retainer replacement, I placed an order with Retainer Xpress. However, instead of receiving the expected retainer, I was sent a night guard.To exacerbate matters, the night guard they sent was not only incorrect but also caused significant discomfort and pain. Upon wearing it, I found myself with cuts and abrasions all over my mouth, rendering it virtually unbearable to use. The poor quality and ill-fitting nature of the night guard left me questioning the integrity of their products.The lack of attention to detail and disregard for customer satisfaction exhibited by Retainer Xpress is deeply concerning. It is evident that they prioritize cost-cutting over providing a quality product and ensuring customer well-being. In light of my experience, I strongly advise against using Retainer Xpress for any dental appliance needs. While their prices may seem appealing, the potential risks and discomfort associated with their products far outweigh any perceived savings. It is worth investing a little extra in a more reputable and professional service that prioritizes customer satisfaction and product quality.In conclusion, steer clear of Retainer Xpress if you value your dental health and overall well-being. Loved my new retainers, I had already tried another company doing the same thing but it didn’t work out. I had a go with retainer xpress because of their reviewsPersonally I found the impression taking easy. The first impression attempt didn’t go as planned but there were plenty of putties in the box. I also got a free set of whitening tray with my two pair retainers. Will be telling my family and friends 😄
Don’t use this company. They make it out to be really simple and easy to use but it is not in the slightest. I did about 6 impressions in total and not one was usable as the putty is such poor quality that it doesn’t even cover your teeth properly. I had to waste a further £13 on more putty. After wasting time and money, I requested a refund as I no longer wanted to engage in the process nor receive a retainer from this company who could not even provide usable impression kits. They said they would deduct £39.99 from my refund due to the impression kit. I found this ridiculous as the impression kit was useless and consisted of 3 upper and lower trays, one of which I couldn’t even use as it was too big for my mouth. The company is a scam.
Ordered some night time replacement retainers and whitening moulds. Really impressed with the quality of these and they seem to fit well. There's a knack to getting the moulds right so I recommend ordering a spare putty and to send photos over via Whatsapp to get them checked before posting. Would definitely buy again in the future!
Retainer Xpress really helped me out! I had lost my retainer just before getting married so needed something quick! I sent in my own mould, which made it much easier. They also had an offer on, of two sets of upper and lower with free whitening trays, which I'll put to use soon. I was pleased to receive my mould back wrapped in bubble wrap and the brilliantly fitting retainers in a cool case. Will definitely recommend and use again when needed. I had a positive experience at first with quick reply times and useful staff, but as soon as I had an issue the wait time was much longer. My retainers broke within 6 months of purchase. I have worn retainers for many years, and this has never occurred so quickly. After asking a question, the staff left my answer on read and I had to request for them to reply with advice. My complaints were then dismissed. I was not necessarily expecting compensation, but good customer service is essential for a successful business.
On March 7, 2024, I purchased both top and bottom retainers from Retainer Xpress for a total cost of £154.99. The package included four putty materials for molding the teeth. Despite meticulously following their instructions at every step, I find myself unable to meet their verification requirements. To my dismay, they now require me to purchase additional putty from their website, which will incur an additional cost of £7.99, with no guaranteed success.This company’s practices feel like an endless rip-off, capitalising on significant usability challenges. The verification process appears unattainable. Doubts about the feasibility of their product and service have led me to request a refund for the unused service. I am willing to pay for the kits I’ve already used.However, Retainer Xpress’s deduction for the putty kits is excessive. They offer a deduction of £39.99. To purchase additional putty on their website is £7.99 and average retail price of the putty is only £12.99, I can't adjustify £39.99 deduction they proposed.Had I obtained a retainer from a dentist, I would likely have received it by now. The verification difficulties have caused a significant waste of my time.My advice: Avoid using Retainer Xpress altogether.
I had high hopes for this retainer company but I was let down .I used it as an urgent resort as old my top retainer had a crack in it back in February , it’s now June and I contacted this company back in March for the impression photos. The impressions took so much time as each time it was wrong and I probably spent £30 on time putty which is ridiculous. After they approved it and sent it out , when it arrived the retainer didn’t even fit my teeth , I had to push so forcefully (my teeth didn’t shift btw) ) until I heard a click and it went on to my teeth. THEN I couldn’t get it off!!! It was so painful and lodged so hard on to my teeth I thought my gums were going to be severely damaged as the retainer was pressed so tightly on my top gums . This was not normal for a retainer. I wasn’t impressed with this and additionally , one side of the retainer looked wonky and thsi is why it didn’t fit on my teeth and it didn’t match up with my teeth . I was so disappointed as lots of money was spent for it to not be of good standard . I then contacted retainerXpress on WhatsApp to tell them this on the 10th April and they said they are offering me a remake and for me to cut the retainer they sent me in half . I didn’t understand why I had to do this so I asked them to confirm . THEN THEY IGNORED MY MESSAGE FOR ALMOST TWO WEEKS. They want to pride themselves on great customer services but multiple times I went weeks without hearing a response which is terrible and awful customer service .then they finally replied 11 days later 😤. And then they had the audacity to say the cut retainer in half didn’t look like their retainer and asked to see it from a different implying that it was a different retainer and that I was conning then . I then sent the photos from a different angle as they requested and again no response for a few days. As I was being blatantly ignored I asked for a refund as this was unacceptable service and it was getting nowhere . And said I am happy to go through small claims court for the appalling service we received and that we again want a refund. And then wow shocker for once they actually replied on the same day disregarding the fact that I wanted a refund and saying “ We have already processed the Renake and it will be with you in a few days” ( this was on the 28th April) I was shocked by this as they never confirmed this when I sent the photos they just ignored them . Then fast forward to the 11th May when NOTHING WAS RECIEVED . They never sent it out to me and it was a LIE. LYING TO YOUR CUSTOMERS ISNT A GOOD LOOK. Then they said they will send a new one out to me and at this point I actually couldn’t be bothered to confirm my address due to the appalling service that I received . I never responded due to a bereavement in the family and being out of the country but when I got back I replied to confirm address one last time to see if they would actually send it .and guess what no response. It seems like this company just ghosts you when they feel like not dealing with your problems which is insane. I just wanted my refund !!!!!as I never got the replacement and I don’t even want it now due to how long it’s taking . It’s now been since Feb/March this one sided battle has been going on way too long because they can’t even be bothered to reply . At this point IF I DONT GET MY REFUND i will be going through small claims court due to this terrible service and terrible scam company . I will be going to a proper in person orthodontist to get the retainer as this experience has been traumatic.😡😠😤
