Rip off, don't bother - rang for a quote for a battery jump - after explaining 3 times i just wanted a quote, he wanted my reg number and address - I was then quoted £95, i said i didn't need a new battery, i just needed a battery jump, he said with a new battery it would be £170, i told him to forget it, i'll push the thing to the garage -
My tyre got slashed on the kerb whilst avoiding oncoming car. I got towed home and found Road buddy 😅. They were very understanding and patient. Quadeer was my contact I did not have a hard copy credit card only Apple Pay so had to contact husband Quadeer was the essence of kindness and patience with an older lady not that great on iPhone 🤷♀️ etc. he did not rush me or make me feel stupid a smile and reassurance goes a long way. My guy arrived within 30 mins Also friendly and job done 👍 back on Road tomorrow safely. A change to find efficiency and kindness these day so would highly recommend this company. They are now in my contacts although hopefully 🤞 not needed too soon 😂🫶
What a bunch of chancers this lot are, I feel aggrieved I have to give them a whole star!I would have given them half a star due to the fact they constantly fobbed me off politely at least!Constant porkies from the first minute, let me just check my drivers tracker to see how long he will take to be with you, 50 minutes, fair enough, hour and a half later I realised, he doesn’t have a tracker! He’s been subbed in, they’ve taken their commission in a form of a deposit and now my poor trucks in the hands of the gods!Communication was over WhatsApp, I say communication, more me chasing to find out if my truck was now being stripped down for parts and on its way to tilbury docks in a container ready for the foreign market!Communication from their side was mainly lies, and the occasional, had it been delivered yet sir?, well that tracker isn’t working very well is it!, but he did say sir every time which really comforted me.Any way, it didn’t get delivered to the garage as promised, had to beg the driver not to just drop it off somewhere local to the garage because he’d arrived after closing, he’d been told, several times what time they close, apparently that day they decided to close two hours early and I was gonna get charged extra to bring it back the next day. I was in constant contact with the garage, they wasn’t closed! Someone was telling a few porkies again!I’m still not sure what he was thinking, where he was gonna dump it and who he was gonna give they keys to, to be honest I don’t think he really cared, I think he was more worried about his night shift for Deliveroo! Two hours later I get another WhatsApp message, is it done sir?Bloody drivers tracker must have been playing up again! How the heck do I know, I’m not even sure I own a car anymore!Radio silence for another half a day, finally I get a call, I’m gonna be there in 30 minutes, here’s my bank details can you pay me!Think maybe with your track record I might just wait and see if there’s any chance you might actually deliver it first!Success, it finally arrives, he calls me three times in a minute and a half to check If I’ve paid him as he doesn’t trust road buddy as they’ve had their money already, he questions what they’ve been paid and how much they’ve said he will get paid, my god this man’s suddenly on the ball!Wish he’d have been so efficient and dedicated dropping my car off as he was investigating his employee and chasing his money.Needless to say, I will not be looking to go through that ordeal again and urge anyone thinking of using them to just try pushing your car to a garage, lot less painful I’d imagine!
We broke down at Newcastle, panicked and phoned road buddy, they quoted me £560 to be picked up and taken home to Workington, picked up by the recovery truck in 60 minutes, I paid £80 deposit to secure the service, the recovery driver Jason messaged me to say he was on his way, he never turned up, another driver Stee, phoned me and said I’ve just been given your details and he was on his way, his sat nav said 1 hour, he came came for us and luckily his recovery truck sat 3 passengers because road buddy new this and never passed that on. So I paid for a service to be guaranteed to be picked up in 60 minutes, we waited nearly 3 hrs with my daughter in the car at 2am when we got picked up, freezing as we couldn’t turn the car on. Stee was amazing but he has his own business and has never worked with road buddy, they just phoned him. Stee charged road buddy £380 to take us home and we paid £560. So before you panick and phone this company, they act like a broker for all over the UK, it’s not their business, they find Local company’s and charger more. Stay calm and google local independent companies
We had a flat tyre Boxing Night, just what we needed! I called Road Buddy and an excellent service was provided. The guys could not do enough to help us out in a difficult situation. They offered full transparency and great customer services. We would definitely recommend this company.
