Ruby have a very good product range which can be tailored to fit your requirement. I ordered a Pergola, was kept well informed throughout their production process and received a kit of high quality. At writing I am yet to build but they provide a good build guide.
I ordered on a Sunday and received my timber on a Thursday.The delivery page on the Ruby website says "We deliver nationwide, for a small fee of £35 on all orders." but the delivery fee for the 6x1 larch boards is actually £75 and I'm not in one of the "remote" postcodes. When I ordered I got an email that said "You will receive a notification 24 hours in advance of the scheduled delivery." I didn't receive any notifications. Luckily we were here when it turned up! The delivery guys were really nice and friendly and happy to carry the timber down the side of the house for me which was much appreciated!When we unwrapped the timber it was quite soggy in the middle which wasn't a surprise having read other reviews. One piece was damaged on one edge and a few boards are not flat. Luckily it's just for building raised beds so it's perfectly serviceable.
Visited their site and asked them if their prices included installation because at the top of their website, it says "Nationwide Delivery & Install".When I asked if they install, they replied in their web chat, "NO, this is supply only. You would need to arrange fitting, usually with local builder / landscaper".I asked why it states Nationwide Delivery & Install at the top of their site and they stopped the chat.Watch this one - don't trust them.Following your reply in which you stated, "In your specific case, as you were enquiring about a garden gate and we are based in Devon, we suggested using a local installer", you're implying that you knew where I am based. You did not. It did not come up in the conversation.It would have been better to just come clean and admit that you only have the "install" sign to attract customers under false pretences. I have been in touch with National Trading Standards and issued a complaint against your company.Please don't reply again. It is in their hands now and I'm sure they'll be in touch.
