Bought an 8tb ssd, brand new two weeks later has a fault, the clocking on it was 4-6 times powered and less than 20min time powered. For an item which is £700, I thought sandisk will take this seriously, I sent it off for a repair which took two weeks they sent a brand new one back via UPS. The tracking number a few days before arriving showed the package had unpaid fees of £70 I contacted the support team they said we’ll sort it out, you don’t need to pay. UPS tries to deliver 3 times and each time they said the fee hasn’t been paid so will return tomorrow, each try I contacted customer service which “urgently” is try to resolve this. On the final day I pay the UPS fee as I needed the item and Sandisk said they would refund me. It’s now been 2 months with 15 emails back and forth “ we are trying to contact ups and get this resolved” Absolute joke, they have a transaction number receipt and everything needed to show I paid this fee and was promised a refund.I work in a tech shop and will never be recommending these products or even company to another soul.
While the SanDisk Extreme SSD 1TB offers excellent performance when it is functioning, the abrupt and total failure after just one year of use is unacceptable, especially for a device at this price point. The loss of my data has been a significant setback, and the lack of effective customer support only added to my frustration.I would advise potential buyers to be cautious. While the drive's performance is stellar when operational, its reliability is questionable based on my experience. If you decide to purchase this drive, ensure you have a robust backup plan in place, as you might find yourself in a similar situation with little to no warning.
Do not buy a SanDisk Professional 5TB G-DRIVE ArmorATD. Mine failed after less than 6 months and I was told by customer services to get a third party company to try to recover the files. I did that and luckily got the files recovered, but the cost of that, together with another drive I had to source quickly so the recovery company could give me the files back, wa nearly £400 GBP. That is not covered under the warranty. They just offer a replacement like for like, but (a) it's a rubbish drive and (b) I bought a replacement to get the files back needed for my business so I don't need a further replacement. Look, just don't buy Sandisk hard drives!!
I bought the dual usb. It asked me to format it. Then I went to use it now it doesn't register it's there. Then I went to there online website to see if I could fix this issue which it asks for your bank details. Am not exactly gonna give them this after buying this dual usb for 13 pound and getting 1 day out it. If you have to use these remember take them out correctly don't format it. Use it to it potential and you might get a few months out of it !.
Bought 2 sandisk microsd cards...had some issues after around 4 years and thus contacted Western Digital / Sandisk. Got reply very next day....was told to provide proof of purchase and the very next day, it was registered to my account for warranty claim (all done by western Digital Customer services). I was unable to erase pics from the microsd and thus could not return...on which the customer service told me to provide proof that I have destroyed the sd card, which I did by taking pics of the sd card....very next day,my claim was approved and on 3rd business day, I have received 2 new Sandisk micro sd cards. I was just amazed by brilliant service provided and I cannot buy anything but Western Digital or Sandisk....thanks Loads to Thomas R at customer services
I bought 2 brand new, different SDXC cards (both 128GB, one Extreme Pro, one Ultra) from SanDisk this week from separate suppliers, both of which were faulty and unusable. Their online support chat was utterly useless. It counted down your number in the queue, and then when it got to "your turn" it was just silent. Ended up phoning their support line who could not work out why this was happening. These used to be my go-to company for SD cards in the past, but the decline in quality is so appallingly apparent.
I have fallen out of love with Sandisk. They just do not work on Apple Macs. I diligently backed up my Mac on to Sandisk memory sticks but could not access them because the Access software was updated !Ok, so bought a new one and that says it will take 43 hrs to download 39GB.My old Toshiba external hard drive does it in seconds.I recommend you do not buy Sandisk memory sticks if you have an Apple laptop
SSD drive died soon after purchasing. I have been waiting almost a year for a replacement. Absolutely no customer service or support for goods in warranty. Repeated emails with no answer or answered months later with excuses.
