I love the Tech shirt - just ordered and received another since I wear them everyday as an "over shirt" - like a sweater or light jacket. After a couple years of all-day every-day wear - I wore one out (I have about 6). Please MAKE MORE COLORS! Burgundy and medium blue (not Navy - not "powder" sort of like the "Camp Shirt" blue) maybe a military type pea soup green would be a good start. And keep the XXXL sizes! All my friends in California see them and love them - my boss liked them and bought a vest too.
I’m so impressed with this jacket! I had purchased a Joey Jacket and the fit and quality were just not there. I had already purchased a ScotteVest for my husband and decided to try it for me. Glad I did! Now if you could just make the standard jacket with a hood... 😁
Great product, or at least the idea is great. The materials not so much. For the price you are paying, you should get a jacket that lasts more than a couple years, heck I have jackets costing half as much that I still wear. I still love it for the pockets. However I had to go to my old one which I didn't throw away, because that didn't have the tears my new one does. Oh and I've had this new one just over a year. maybe a year and a couple months.
Can't rate the product, NEVER RECEIVED IT! Yes, the Post Office screwed up, they lost my order / purchase three days before Christmas (why the hell anyone still uses USPS is irresponsible) but try to reach anyone TO TALK TO at Scottivest FORGET IT!!!. I needed desperately to talk to someone to reorder my gifts and file an insurance claim. To talk to anyone at Scottivest you have to book an appointment on- line, click on the BOOK TIME button and it takes the visitor to a page that has the message "this page is not recognized". Forget it SCOTTIVEST, you're a LUMP OF COAL!
Worst customer service on the planet. Broken zipper on a new vest, under warranty. I've had to call, then email, now they want a photo, then maybe next week they'll get back to me to see if they'll fix it. For $140 vest? Are you kidding me. Up until now, I told people I liked their products. Never will buy their products again.
Mixed feelings about SCOTTeVEST and the customer service I received. Before ordering my Enforcer jacket, I corresponded with customer service to confirm that the jacket would be able to fit my 15" laptop as stated on their website. Two separate customer service reps assured me that "[the] Enforcer Jacket Fits up to 15" Laptop in front chest pockets in all sizes." I happily ordered the jacket and waited anxiously.Received the Enforcer about a week later and was happy to see the good fit and decent styling. My only issue at that point was the factory chemical smell (as is the case with most new clothes), so I put it through a gentle rinse cycle which helped tremendously. However, when I got to the studio the next day to place my 15" Macbook in the front chest compartment, I found that it did not fit at all in any pocket!Contacted support and they again stated that it should fit. After conferring with their technical team, the rep then flipped and said sorry it would NOT fit the 15" size. They thanked me for my business and said they'd update the website (as of today, the description has not been updated online). Since the jacket was rinsed, I had no other option but to keep an expensive jacket that I can't use for my intended purpose (traveling with my work laptop on low cost carriers with weight restrictions). Upset because I now have to find another jacket option (or get a new studio laptop - not an option for me).Don't think I'll be buying another Scottevest until they can get their act together.
I guess I'm going to have to give up on trying to exchange a TEC shirt in khaki color. I've spent over $600 with Scottevest over the last year, and am generally satisfied with their products. However, a recent order included a TEC shirt in khaki color which had three small spots or streaks of black in different areas. To me it seemed like the horizontal streaks were black plastic embedded fabric bits. When I contacted customer service by email, I didn't get a response. When I went back a week later to email them again, I got a pop up window offering a live chat, so I did that. I was surprised by the amount of information that I was required to give, such as the lot number of the item (she referred to it as the PO number) and photographs of the defective areas. I really just wanted to exchange it for the same shirt with no blemishes. I have since started another chat in which the representative said she would check on it. I had to move on instead of waiting online for a response, and ended the chat by requesting that she send me an email when she had determined the status of my claim. I still have not received a response. In the current online retailing environment I am used to companies exchanging your items with no questions asked. Not so with Scottevest. I have better things to do than monitor my timeline to make sure that I am within the 30 day return policy. While the shirt was moderately priced ($90 if I remember correctly), I would rather forget it than make it a life priority to win the exchange battle.I like their clothes, but not enough to put up with being dissed by their consumer unfriendly customer service.
Had a Quest vest for 60 days and it is fading significantly. It was black when I purchased it but is now a spotted Gray. It looks horrible. Below is the response I was given which is really poor customer service. I never washed it, the fading happened on its own. I have since washed it but that didn’t help. Buy at your own risk. You have been warned. I will not be purchasing anymore items from them...very disappointing.Dear Steve,Thanks for reaching out! I am sorry to hear about that!Did you followed the care instructions: Machine wash cold with like colors, delicate cycle. Only non-chlorine bleach when needed. Tumble dry low, remove promptly. Cool iron use press cloth. Do not dry clean. Do not steampress. No dryer sheets. Clear touch can melt in dryer. No commerical dryers. Close all zippers before washing. Remove all electronic devices and wires. Remove keychian before washing. Please remove RFID pouch for laundering. Please know that we do not cover normal fading due to wear and tear under warranty. So I suggest you to follow the washing instructions. Thanks,
I bought the men's microfleece hoody for myself and my husband for a recent trip to Europe. I liked the men's style much better than the skimpy looking ladies jacket. This was the best purchase and a real life-saver for our travels. We both love our Scottevest hoodie! I call it The Precious! The microfleece is so soft and comfy, and we love all the pockets! It turned out it was quite chilly in England and Belgium in April and May. We wore our jackets every day, so our 16 days of photos look like one long day. Oh well, at least we were warm! We went to a concert in England, where only a tiny purse was allowed. No problem...I stuffed all my necessities into my many pockets, and we waltzed right in! The measuring method on the website worked perfectly. I wear a ladies large hoodie, and the men's medium was right on. I looked at lots of different travel jackets and read probably 100 reviews. This is the one, and I'm so happy I bought them. We both got black...it goes with everything!
