Took my car in to Sudbury branch on Saturday 1st. Was advised that my puncture was not repairable because of where the screw had entered. I was advised that they couldn't get a Michelin tyre until Tuesday, but they had a budget tyre in stock, I declined. Phoned ATS Welwyn (where my lease company has a contract), asked them to order a new Michelin tyre to match existing, which they said they would have for lunchtime Monday, took the car in and they repaired the punctured tyre, they said it was nowhere near the limit of repair - not impressed!
Do not use! A chap called Keith runs the team and is the worst. They scaremonger people into having tracking, new brakes, additional tyres even when not necessary! They pray upon people that don’t know anything about cars and public trust! I will never recommend this branch to anyone! DO NOT USE...
took my car to the Sudbury depot for a puncture, only to be told it would be a two hour wait even tho they looked quiet and had 3 employees standing in the office doing nothing other than discussing computer games like it was show and tell at primary school, when I questioned this the so-called manager that had his phone glued to his hand (probably on facebook or porn) responded to me in a very childish rude manor, he seemed more interested in stroking the ego of his right hand man (who came across as a disturbed child) than seeing to me needs, I walked out in the end and went and saw Malcom at glemsford tyres and had a great service. I would never use SE tyres again or recommended them to anyone other than Jeremy Corbyn!!
Tunbridge Wells Depot. Went there today for 3 tyres, quoted £70 + Vat = £84 each tyre, have to be ordered. Saw online the price is £54.36 inclusive of VAT and fitting (you need to print out online page with price on) How come such a large discrepancy on prices? Paid around £64 all in there last time. I don't need to know price plus VAT as a member of public, just what the bottom line is. So paying extra £90 for 3 tyres???? We had work done recently on car with local garage who said fronts needed changing and he got it done at SE Tyres but tyres do not look new, more like secondhand ones from a scrapyard? No ink prints or chalk marks like new tyres have. So really suspicious they say they don't supply part worn, but seen another branch buying some from back of a car that someone bought into them. Anyway getting done by at home fitters for £53 each instead!!!!!!
Burgess Hill Branch: Rude and aggressive staff. Terrible manners. Car parking a major problem. First-come-first-serve system is a joke as they serve their "mates" first. I sat and waited for 1.5 hours despite being ahead of 3 other customers who were served before me. Reason for the delay: my car was boxed in by another customer in their tiny and impractical, so-called car park. Was there any apology offered ? Absolulty not. Not even an acknowledgment of the prolonged wait !Asda tyres customers, are treated like 2nd class citizens. Any questions or issue that you may have will be responded with "take it up with Asda, nothing to do with us" !!! So I did and notified Asda customer services with the review that these lot deserve. Unless you break down right next to their garage in Burgess Hill, do NOT bother with Setyres.
