I bought from a company that tracked the order through shopify. I never received the order. I have tried to contact the seller and shopify in regards to this and I have never had a reply. Both are dodgy companies taking money for products that obviously do not exist. Do not use this company because they are no help at all and just out yo scam people
I used this to company buy an item 3 weeks ago, this still hadn’t arrived! I then looked the seller up and it was untraceable. I contacted customer services and was basically fobbed off! I was advised that because I hadn’t done my research on the seller there was nothing they could do to help. Avoid at all costs!!
I attempted to purchase a microchip cat feeder via a company called 'Yurnexa' after seeing that it was cheaper than anywhere else. A week had passed and I still hadn't received confirmation the order had even been shipped so I tried emailing and phone calling the company to which both methods of contact were invalid. When I informed Shopify of this possible scam of a company, they advised me I need to wait 30 days before they were even interested in listening. I have had to involve my bank in the end who are now investigating the issue as a scam and will hopefully rectify the problem for me. I feel Shopify should be more careful with the companies they are letting use their platform and have a better customer support service also when it comes to refunds.
I ordered from BennetandMason.co.uk, thinking it was a reputable UK fashion company. The site looks legitimate – with a London address, prices in GBP, and all the language of a British brand. But it's actually a Chinese dropshipping site using Shopify’s platform to mislead UK consumers.I ordered men's boots (sold as “genuine leather”) and a watch. The boots were cheap plastic, not leather at all, and the watch didn’t even work. I tried to cancel the order before dispatch, which under UK law I’m entitled to do — they ignored me and sent it anyway.After complaining, they offered me a 20% refund, or told me I’d have to return the items to China at my own expense for any chance of a full refund. The return cost would be more than the items! This is a deliberate tactic to avoid refunding customers.This kind of behaviour violates UK consumer law, including:The Consumer Contracts Regulations 2013 (right to cancel within 14 days)The Consumer Rights Act 2015 (goods must be as described and fit for purpose)⚖️ Shopify’s ResponsibilityShopify may not be the seller, but it provides the platform and payment system (Shopify Payments, via Stripe) that enables this. Under Shopify’s own Terms of Service, merchants are required to comply with all relevant consumer laws in the markets they sell to — including the UK.This seller is in clear violation of both UK law and Shopify’s terms, and Shopify should investigate and remove them from the platform. There’s no point claiming to protect buyers while enabling this kind of misleading conduct.💡 If this happens to you – act fast:Even if you used a debit card, you can request a chargeback from your bank:“I purchased from a website claiming to be UK-based. The goods were misrepresented and faulty. My cancellation was ignored, and the seller refused a refund unless I returned items to China at my cost. I want to raise a chargeback under Visa/Mastercard rules.”Banks usually accept chargebacks up to 120 days after purchase or expected delivery.
Shopify have the worst customer service possible. They have no reason to resolve any query as they are know you are reliant on them for your business. You can only contact by email using their horrible to use support system. The staff are annoyingly polite but specialise in providing zero support to any of your queries.Their new Shopify tax system is borderline fraudulent. They opt you in to something you don't need. When you ask for more information they advise you, you are not liable for the tax. They then charged the tax anyway. When you try to complain they simply say Shopify doesn't refund taxes.If you haven't got a Shopify store I would avoid using them and use another platform that provides actual customer service.
