If you want a site with three pages and no interesting features, that might be fine. However, as soon as you add the slightest functionality, nothing works anymore. It's a highly inefficient mess. Regrettably, influenced by an advertisement, I thought about leaving WordPress for Shopify, hoping to avoid dealing with technical aspects, what a mistake! Since I switched to Shopify, I've encountered nothing but issues that I have to solve on my own because their team of 'experts' leaves you alone for days, sometimes weeks, without support. I'm currently dealing with a bug that prevents Google from indexing my pages due to a redirection issue. I was the one who found the problem after days of searching, and I've been waiting for seven days for their technical team to address a beginner's issue that I could have fixed in two minutes on my previous platform. It's disgraceful. Shopify lures you in by claiming you won't have to handle anything, but once you encounter a problem, the only solution they offer is to pay extra to hire an expert for even the smallest issue! We are on the 8th day of waiting for them to fix a problem that would have taken barely an hour to resolve with any competitor.Do not choose this platform, or you will regret it!
So I set up a shop, had a really good 5 months then shopify informs me that my products are in breach of copyright. I get a really vague email saying that I need to get a certificate to sell said items, they said the items are : "Nissan,Huawei, Sieko, Lenovo and more" and I'm supposed to know what ones they mean as most of those I don't sell. So after a week of emails they finally tell me its 7 items (6 wasn't in the list) so I delete them while I get the certificates from my suppliers. So now after I've deleted the items and supplied the certificates my shop is still closed and I'm not getting any response from shopify. So now I've left shopify and taking my business somewhere else. Avoid shopify they are over rated.
Follow up from previous review. Just been informed my shopify website store is still up & visable even though I cancelled it & blocked payments. What a bunch of scam artists they are, inflating their market presence with dead shops, I wonder just how many there are. I will never even purchase from a shopify store now let alone recommend joining their service.
Shopify sucks monkey balls. I had a shop for 3 months. I make one sale and suddenly my funds are withheld by these clowns. They had months to ask me for documents relating to my items yet choose to hold me to ransom when I made a sale. I closed down my shop they refunded the customer I ended up keeping the money they eventually sent to my account in error. They are a website design platform not trading standards. I would advise not using this platform save your money headache and time and venture elsewhere. teach yourself online using youtube
Charged me for a store I did not use , tried to email them and it bounced back after a few days . Asked me to open a new ticket to which I couldn’t find . Tried to cancel trial , would nt allow me to do it . Went to support centre and there is no option to ring them or chat online . They take your money and it’s impossible to get it back or make a complaint . Terrible company . AVOID !!!!!!!
Their sellers aren't any good. Gives me custom Fit product that isn't custom fit. Low quality and didn't even do its job right. And costs more than most places. First time using shopify for a purchase, it will be my last and will never recommend or even associate with Shopify. Make sure your sellers are reliable..
