I wish I have read this reviews before I have created an e-commerce store in Shopify .They have blocked me out 6 days .The only help is the chatbot !!!!!and chat that you have to be logged in your store for an advisor to chat with you .My mental health with them deteriorated.I believe I will take legal actions against them .Ps.They have blocked my domain in the store and I can't do anything now except waiting for their respond total mess.
They make it very difficult to cancel your subscription then fleece you for money even when you cancel the payment with your bank. Never even used their service and they keep hitting me for £25 every month. AVOID AT ALL COSTS. DO NOT BE DRAWN IN BY THE 3 MONTH CHEAP SUBSCRIPTION. THESE PEOPLE ARE CROOKS.
We've been using Shopify Payments for over 2 years and late Wednesday 31st Jan we received an email to say they would no longer be supporting us and immediately stopped payments, with no advanced warning or grace period - basically they sent an email and immediately stopped accepting any transactions/orders.Upon enquiring on the reason they seem to have changed their policy regarding preorder products (even though we have done so on Shopify Payments for 2+ years) so will not deal with us any more. The best part is they will not deal with us, but are quite happy to force us to use a 3rd Party payment provider and Shopify charge us an extra 1% on every transaction (on top of Stripe + PayPal's fees) - an option we have no choice in as we now can't use Shopify Payments.Extremely poor service and extremely stressful experience that means Shopify will be charging us an extra £500 in fees every month for third-party transaction fees for not using Shopify Payments (even though they won't let us use it)
I was on a monthly rolling subscription. After pausing my store while on holiday I had to sign up again and reselect the basic plan - not realising that I was selecting to pay for a full 12 months upfront. I contacted them and was told it was non-refundable and that I could only use the credit. I recently paused again and now they've changed the basic plan and I've lost all the benefits that I already paid for upfront! I've been limited to only sell in 3 markets despite paying for a full year under the previous terms & conditions (no limit on number of markets)

Once contact is established, brace yourself for a journey through a maze of scripted responses and insincere assurances.Their representatives, if you can call them that, are adept at the craft of deception. They feign concern while showcasing a remarkable talent for obfuscation. It's as if they're reading from a manual titled "How to Alienate Customers 101." Their lack of genuine empathy is astounding.Furthermore, their modus operandi seems centered around deceit. Promises of swift resolutions dissipate into thin air, leaving behind a trail of broken assurances and unresolved issues. It's apparent that their primary objective is not to assist customers but to pacify them with empty promises and false hope.What's more appalling is the apparent absence of accountability within their support framework. There's a blatant disregard for the repercussions of their actions, as if customer satisfaction is an inconsequential detail in their grand scheme of indifference.In conclusion, if you value your sanity and expect even a modicum of genuine assistance, steer clear of Shopify's customer support. They epitomize everything that's wrong with corporate indifference and deceit. Save yourself the anguish and opt for platforms that prioritize customer satisfaction over profit margins. Shopify, take heed: customer support is not a charade—it's a commitment to excellence, integrity, and genuine care for those who keep your business afloat.
