Review Time
I've been using Shopify for over 5 years, looking after accounts worth in excess of £2million. The platform is great; almost all these reviews are from stay at home parents and teenagers trying to dropship because they've seen something on TikTok about making a quick buck with no skills.
I have to agree with everyone below Shopify are a company clearly not based in the UK they have no sense of marketing platforms in the Uk they feeeze my money telling me about fraud after providing in told amounts of evidence the payment legitimate and they still fail to abide my any form of law they disgust me in every way possible and as. Small business you should get more support ESPECIALLY in this climate instead you get the complete Opposite Time to move my store to big e-commerce
I had enough of them last year. I opened a shop on Shopify and received hundreds of Council Bluffs visits and other bots. At the time, I didn't know that these were bots. I was selling worldwide and was running google and Facebook ads to increase traffic. So when I got so much traffic, I was baffled that none had converted despite spending an hour on the website. I decided to connect the screen recording widget to see what the problem was and why customers weren't purchasing. Instantly I could see 95% of the traffic was bots. And I have paid for campaigns focusing on the area where most of the traffic is coming from. That is on top of paying monthly for a Shopify subscription. It was a sole destroying experience! You live, you learn, I guess. Shopify is a ripoff. They are overpriced and offer much less functionality than other platforms, do not monitor/repel bots, and customer care support is insufficient based on what they charge! I moved to Wix, and my business took off instantly. I can showcase my work, sell, accept bookings, and much more for a fraction of the price. Plus, it is not as techy, and I can do everything without messing with codes (or hiring expensive professionals to combat particularly tricky coding). Shopify is clunky, outdated, and not worth money or nerves.
As with other events unbelievable that there is no contact number.paid for utem via visa but items not delivered E mail them but no reply There is no way I would ever use them again and then. If you are happy with this experience then fine but clearly the BUTS are important..to me how do they carry on by these inactions bewareUPDATE days roll on 21st December. still no delivery just ask more questions and we give them answers but no action. Can you believe no tel number.just look at their ratings we cannot all be wrong
Ive been with shopify for a year It's the most complicated thing to set up e.g you have to do codeing to set it up which I struggle with asked for help a number of times and got no support ever!!! managed to set it up finally but always have problems! It's expensive can't connect to goggle!! agh it's just been a pain since day one!!!!
I've been with Shopify for years and after taking the plunge to Plus I must say it frankly isn't worth Frankly Utterly Completely Knothing ALL. Despite great promises by the EMEA sales rep Ashleigh, we have had no follow through with support despite the main features of Plus not working in the slightest for us. It is 3 weeks since launching and we're yet to have any problems resolved or any contact with a human being at shopify.
I have been directed to this rating site by a Shopify competitor who is using it in their marketing and I am really shocked to see so man negative ratings. We have run our store on Shopify for a number of years as we were advised by our last web developer who was excellent to do so. I have not for one second regretted this decision hence, the shock over the poor ratings and whilst I don't doubt for one minute that some are legitimate complaints, it is fairly obvious that the majority are from people who think Shopify is the seller and a lot are from those who do not understand what Shopify is good at and what it is there for. We had our store professionally set up, got a couple of paid for apps and a free app and it all functions brilliantly for a low cost. We have rarely had to contact support as everything was properly set up and when we have the issues have been sorted. Not always as quickly as we would like but they never are with any company. I think the fact that Trustpilot allows people who are not customers of a company to post is a little unfair, although I understand how the those posting think they are. In short, I am a customer of Shopify, my business has done ok with them and I don't have the need or desire to move eklsewhere.
Have been a customer for years. Back since 2016. They started really well, great customer support. But the last view years the quality has really dropped. If I could give zero stars I would- at this point it is costing our company money because of their ineptitude.Over time they have also moved away from helping you solve issues on the site to adding expensive 3rd party apps. This slowly increases your monthly spending
Shocked to see that they are involved with selling Vevor products as Vevor are scamming people out of there money with false advertising of products, further shock when I can’t even speak to someone at Shopify no contact phone number, will never purchase anything that has shopify involved, a good way to extort money.
