Beware they shut our shop for no reason…

Beware they shut our shop for no reason given. Something to do with being on a sanctions list. We are a normal UK company. Trading on Amazon eBay for 5 years excellent metrics. No response. Please be warned and build your site and don't take the risk. Plus long term they are very expensive compared to Magento et al.easy to get started but ..,

I got a sale and then fulfilled it

I got a sale and then fulfilled it. I sent out a product that a costumer had payed for but then randomly they tell me I can't have my money for an order I have already shipped out because I need to verify my Identity. So I send them the photos of my passport and of the utility bill and it says they aren't clear. I take another photo and it still says it isn't clear. this happens about 5 times until it says I have to contact costumer support which I do but they aren't responding and they still refuse to give me my money that they have stolen from me.

EXPENSIVE!!

EXPENSIVE!!! Shopify likes to market themselves as a SMB friendly platform but with all the extra features you will need your monthly bill will skyrocket pretty quickly. Even simple features like reviews are incompetent so you have to get a plugin to sort it out for you. Of course, all those plugins are billed with your Shopify subscription and there is no easy way to see how much you are paying to what plugin. Very sneaky if you ask my opinon!!!Also, these plugins you install leave residiues within your template files which means they need to be manually cleaned every so often. Especially at the setup phase of your site when you are trying out a few different things.You'll have to hire a developer if you don't know what you're doing and that's another cost.NOT SO FRIENDLY FOR SMALL BUSINESS!!!

Literally worst CMS ever

Literally worst CMS ever. As a developer Shopify 1.0 was so bad, that i don't think i need to even explain it... Shopify 2.0 release was a fantastic update, after couple weeks learning and hundreds of hours of work, Shopify editor gives error "Only 50 metafields allowed in one template". Who the heck wants to use Shopify if you cant even build what they promise.Customer service is full of unexperienced Philippines who can't do literally anything without you telling them what to do and even then they can't do the right thing. Only thing Shopify can give you is ERRORS, if you enjoy them then why not use it.

I am seriously disappointed with…

I am seriously disappointed with Shopify, I paid over $3000 for a designer to create my Shopify Website and now I'm in the final stages of completing my shop and I see that Shopify does not allow the UK to offer multiple packaging options for shipping.This means I could have a very large item / large box - or very small item / envelope - and Shopify will not allow me to accurately calculate the weight based shipping depending on the weight of the package box/envelope.I have searched all the 3rd party apps - Boxify etc - and none of them support Royal Mail UK Shipping - the apps only seem to support America, Canada and Australia - but not the UK.Shopify - you are meant to be providing a full featured shop service to sellers - yet you cannot even allow me the basic right to have multiple packaging options????This is unfair to UK customers. I spent hours on the phone with customer service and a solution could not be resolved - massive flaw in Shopify.

A month for a refund after a month waiting for my order !!…

I paid for an item and after almost a month found a way to email the place that sold it. They use shopify for selling ( that is that's how it looks I'm not so sure its even a legit company) finally got a response only to be told it will take a month to refund my money !!?? How does a refund take a month ? I've worked customer service and worked for a bank and never heard of a refund taking so long so I told them this. I've since read that some people set up fake stores using shopify so they can scam people, well this isn't good enough, shopify should do research and know if a seller is real or fake so people aren't being ripped off. I definitely won't buy from anywhere that I see is using this way of selling again.

If you want to dropship and sell China…

If you want to dropship and sell China imports this is for you. The layout needs updating. Sub's is OK but by the time you pay for numerous apps etc Not to mention s.e.o. Most unique products have little or no stock. Nah ebay is better.

Absolutely disgusting service

Absolutely disgusting service. I installed an app called nofraud that was meant to help protect my account according to Shopify only to have it delete my site and lock my account. Now I have no access to my website and they won't unlock my account. I'm told I will get an email, which I am still waiting for.

Submitted my ID 7 days ago for my shopify payments to be verified. My account has been active for more than a year with no chargebacks. No problems. They want me to wait another 72 hours for a simple bloody ID to be verified. Zero crap customer service all on live chat and emails. Time wasters don’t use them

Firstly they are expensive for what you get. Secondly they have ZERO customer service, everything is bull!@#%forum's basically tossing g you in to a chat group with thousands of people that have the exact same problem as you and no solutions, that's NOT helping!! How stupid is SHOPIFY in simple terms it will allow you sell Firearms but not a Dildo !! Need I say more...
