The staff were very helpful and pleasant when I called for help with my son’s card. This card is a great idea , my son who has special needs is so happy to have his own
card which helps to encourage independence. We can control the finances and the card security is very good. We also have the app which is easy to use.

Absolutely dire. This is for use of people who have additional needs and their carers. Don't bother.

Absolutely dire. This is for use of people who have additional needs and their carers. Don't bother. There is no clarity as to what is actually required. The app is useless. I uploaded all the information, photographs etc. It wanted me to do it over, Also there is no instruction or page to contact, you just hit a wall. I don't have time for this. I was applying because we have to pay £3.00 each time we load the Post Office card. This is £4.99 a month. I'll just carry on with my three pounds. I have asked them to destroy all of my data. If they want people who are less able to use this then they had better get on a learning curve,

Over a month and still waiting!

I have been trying to set an account up for a number of weeks. You can never speak to anyone on the phone and messages are either not replied to or an email is sent. Eventually, after more than a month, I had an email to say that the card was issued but I am now 12 days in and still waiting for the delivery. Phoned again this morning and unsurprisingly it went straight to voice message. IF there was another card offering the same benefits for family members with Dementia I would be trying them because the whole Sibstar process has not been very satisfactory. What a shame.

Replacement card

My brother lost his card and needed a new one. The new card arrived quickly but it then took several days for Sibstar to activate it. Why can't I activate it on the app?

Superb concept and an excellent service

We have had a Sibstar card for nearly three years. We applied for the card as a way to help my mother who has dementia and had been the subject of card fraud. This card has provided the peace of mind we needed as a family and has enabled my mother to retain her independence for longer. The app and card has worked flawlessly during that time and on the few occasions I have contacted support I have received a positive experience. I will and do recommend Sibstar to others with similar situations.

For some reason my request for aid via email and telephone messages went to your spam box. Once sorted out - it took a week - I received a full and efficient response

A very simple solution

A very simple, straightforward card that allows people with dementia to retain a level of independence. Great customer support too.

Looking for a safe way to manage funds

Looking for a safe way to manage my mother in laws funds and to find a way to manage her losing cards, taking cash out etc etc .. found Sibstar from Google Search .. took a little time to set up initially due to delays in LPA registration and initial delay in loading card but believe that to be due to mother in jaws bank .. assistance and resolution from Sibstar Team William and Jasmin - good and positive .. now up and running, tested and handed to mother in law .. feel comfortable that her funds and payments can be better managed and are secure .

Card for independence of adult with learning disabilities

I applied for an account as a deputy to manage personal transactions for my brother with learning disabilities more electronically rather than via cash (carers supporting him using the card to pay for personal transactions). It's early days on how this goes but so far ok. Regarding the process to apply and get set-up, it was straightforward and simple process and with communication at the various stages and it didn't take long, I was impressed with that. Overall highly would recommend.
