Find another place ASAP

I was just charged for service and am told there is no refund. The renewal settings apparently do not mean anything. It looks like I'm out the money they took from me.

**Stay Away from Site5

**Stay Away from Site5 – Worst Hosting Experience After 16 Years!**I have been with Site5 since 2009, paying them month after month for over 16 years. Everything was fine until COVID-19, but then the nightmare began: endless hidden price hikes and declining service.* My **Legacy hostPro + Turbo (NYC)** plan was \$14.95.* In 2017, they suddenly increased it to **\$18.95**.* 2020: **\$22.74*** 2022: **\$25.01*** 2023: **\$30.01*** 2024: **\$34.51** → then **\$37.96** (September)* 2025: **\$41.76**All these price hikes came **without clear communication**. Just silent increases, month after month. Shameless!Meanwhile, the service has become a joke:* **No Free SSL*** **No Node.js or modern support*** **Terrible customer service** – they drag you through endless excuses and delays. They are charging premium prices for third-world level service. Site5 is no longer the professional American company it once was — it was sold to Indians, and now they run it into the ground. They clearly don’t understand real business culture.I gave them thousands of dollars over the years, trusting them, and in the end they treated me like garbage. They will continue losing loyal customers this way.👉 **Do yourself a favor: stay away from Site5. There are far better and more honest hosting providers out there.**

STAY AWAY

STAY AWAY! They are going down the hill, before or after they partnered with Network Solution, Support is horrible, the people have cero experience and knowledge, give you non-sensical answers and waste your time, always. Price is now more than double of what i started 5 years ago. My Server is outdated with PHP version of 7.0 EOL 2022, this represent security risk for all my customers.

Site 5 is hustling for excessive cancellation fees.

Site 5's hustle for additional cancellation fees is despicable. I had a 15-year run with Site 5. Service was pretty OK. I filled out a cancellation ticket recently because I closed my business, which I explained to them so they were fully aware. They only cancelled the small inexpensive server but did not cancel the other $350 server. Why? Because they are trying to bill me for another year into 2026. They are hustling for fees with a 45-day cancellation I knew nothing about. But there were no fees on the inexpensve server. HmmmmmI've been on autopay for a decade and they never mentioned any 45-day xl fee to me when I cancelled. They just sent me a bill. BE VERY CAREFUL with your credit card information. I have hired a lawyer because I am done with "fees" from opportunistic companies. I am very sad this was the end of what was once a good relationship.

Site5 is the Worst Domain Hosting Sites

One of the worst domain hosting companies I have ever used. I was using IXWebhosting, and they sold their company, and transferred all our domains to this Site5.com. due to Site5 company's poor email notices, I have lost two domain registration renewals from websites that I have owned for over a decade. Since this happened, I have also requested to have all my active domains transferred out of Site5, and it's been over a week, and the company refuses to release the domains. My receiving domain company has had issues receiving the transfer because Site5 uses Tuscow Domains Inc. and they refuse to release the domains. Horrible company, if I could provide zero stars, I would. Really hope that I can transfer all my domains and hosting, away, so that I do not ever need to coordinate or work with Site5.com again.

Site5 webhosting not trustworthy

Site5 webhosting is a scam. The service itself works ok but You do not want to trust them with having your credit card or PayPal info on file as they will make unauthorized charges. The only people I have been able to exchange email with regarding unauthorized charges are Indians who either do not understand or do not care to understand and respond simply saying no refund. The charges are in dispute right now with PayPal so hopefully I will get a refund. Also, they are not listed with the Better Business Bureau due to not meeting/following legitimate business practices.

The biggest scam in the history of…

The biggest scam in the history of hosting. It was already canceled in 2023 via e-mail and telephone. Now the server has been charged again and my Paypal account has been debited. Accordingly, my bank account as well. Now the support says: You have to set the automatic payment in the backend. If I cancel by email, that will be enough. Allegedly e-mails are also sent. I haven't received any to date.Better go to GoDaddy or another provider. This is scam at the highest level. I initiated the debit from my bank account and wrote to PayPal support. Likely a scam in 2025

I registered with site5 in 2006. They were completely different back then. I went nearly 20 years without any major issue. Come 2023, (after it was sold to web.com), my website started to redirect to a website that was completely unrelated to my own after I asked that they fix my broken SSL certificate. Imagine them telling you they fixed something and your website suddenly showing an unrelated page when you enter your address.I tried every which way to get their outsourced support team to understand that my website was redirecting to an unrelated website but they were actually incapable of understanding. They would not help me. They replied suspiciously automated responses that verged on making me feel like they're now run by scam artists.I lost my website as a result and now I have to start over from scratch. I would suggest to all existing customers to change hosting providers. If looking for a host as a new customer, there are several more legitimate providers to use in 2024. Do not sign up with site5. I'm positive that the influx of positive reviews here are false. The timeline for them is absolutely suspicious. Further investigation needs to be done into this company and I'm currently reporting them to every bureau reporting agency I can.

Unprofessional Marketing

Despite the fact that I cancelled my hosting plan at the same time I received the renewal notification, I been charged for a full year hosting fee that I am not going to use based on a renewal notification email that was in my email junk box.
