Review Time
It was great to see the Liverpool 1978-79 3rd shirt on their website as I have been looking for it for years and no company was selling it. Needless to say I ordered it immediately and after a few weeks it arrived, and I am overwhelmed by the quality. Everything is as per the original and it is clear that great care was put into making this repro as faithful as possible. Brilliant!
Ordered a retro shirt from SM Retro 8th December, and I still haven't received it.I Can't even track the order.I wrote an email, and they said that I should have the opportunity to track the order in February, but yet I still can't track it.They're not answering my emails, and now its 3,5 month ago I ordered it.Now I’ve receiver it, but still 4 months after the order.
I ordered 2 jerseys on 11th February 2025 at the cost of £72.18. On the 16th May 2025 my order arrived but unfortunately they had sent the wrong jersey (an order I had previously made the year before).I was asked to send this jersey on to an address in England (which I sent registered at my own expense) while they sorted out my correct order.On 2nd June 2025 I received a new tracking number for the correct jerseys and was told to check on July 2nd. As my last order took 3 months to arrive I wasn't expecting any update till at least September anyway. As expected no update on tracking, I check every so often and still nothing. I received a reply for my original email on 2nd September saying that they would look into it and get back to me when they hear anything. I emailed again at the start of October and was offered the same reply. I emailed again at the beginning of November and received no reply. I then emailed again on 19th November explaining that I'm not looking for a refund, just the 2 shirts that I have paid for way back in February. I also said that If I didn't receive a reply that I would be leaving a review on here to go along with the string of other bad reviews they seem to be having this month.So this is where we are at.
smretro.com is a very attractive website, not only due to the wonderful shirts on offer but also due the simplistic design and clear layout. After a couple of days window shopping, I was ready to place my order and this was very straightforward. Between ordering and receiving I was contacted by SM retro to inform me of tracking information and when I could expect delivery. Although it's not the fastest this is not their fault and they are upfront about delivery times. All in all, it took 7 weeks from ordering to receive the shirt and I was very satisfied when I opened the parcel. The shirt was everything I expected and gave me a warm feeling of nostalgia. Football was so much better back in the day and being able to buy this shirt from my youth has made me so happy. This will last for years to come. The fabric is good quality and the badges and logos sewn in, so they won't peel off or fade. Do pay attention to the size guides on the website so you order the right size - these are smaller fitting. This is a special business and may it go from strength to strength. You certainly get your money's worth.
This site was recommeded to me by a friend, and I am glad he did so. Very good retro shop, impressed with the standard of product and customer service.The products are ordered in a logical way and the menu system is easy to navigate. All the typlical questions are answered in an FAQ page so it is very useful. Anything not covered on their website was answered promptly by Jane and put my mind to rest. I found placing an order very straightforward. They accept credit or debit cards so anyone should be able to order. Delivery time is not fast but it is tracked and worth the wait. Very impressive.
