Currently staying at Villa Alkyoni Paramonas Corfu. Solmar villas are a great company to use, very professional and helpful with any queries, would definitely use again. This villa is amazing, modern and very clean. Well equipped with a great pool and views. Remote and a poor road surface leading up to the villa but that’s the norm on the Greek Islands. A small beach and taverna only a 5 min drive away with more lively beaches and bars a 20 min drive away.
We had a lovely holiday in the villa the biggest hit was the pool and although at the front of the villa it wasn’t a problem as the road is quiet . Parking was a bit of an issue if we went out in the day as people use it to park and walk to the beach and there is no driveway for private parking . We only had a couple of snag things with the villa its self , curtain poles came off the wall when curtains were pulled and the front gate had to be lifted and opened so just maintenance issues really. Over all we loved it and would go again we love Cala galdana and have stayed in different areas but no where is too far as long as you don’t mind a few steps.
Nice villa close to facilities. Only issue was the lack of kitchen utensils, general cleanliness, linen changes and around the pool area. linen wasn't changed until late in the stay. BBQ area was unusable and took a couple of hours to clean. The shrubs by the pool shower were overgrown and I had to trim them back or you would be covered in little yellow flowers every time after showering.There was a general lack of cooking utensils, pots, pans and bowls etc for self catering.
Just returned from 3 weeks in Villa Angeliki in Corfu. The booking process and arrangements were all fine, and they booked a transfer for a relative arriving separately late at night. We loved our stay there. The only reason for 4 not 5 stars is that on a Sunday we woke up to find the water was off. We had plenty of bottled water for drinking but no toilet or shower. I rang the Solmar emergency number at 08.30 (06.30 in the UK) and the agent said she would inform the people in resort. 4 hours later I rang again and the same thing - they said they were contacting the resort team. A man then came, who said the pump was broken. His English was limited but we understood that all the plumbing supply shops are closed on Sunday. He went off and with no contact still from Solmar I rang again after another 2 hours. This time the agent said he was escalating this and the villa manager would be in touch. She rang at about 8pm and was making an arrangement to give us another nearby villa for the night. As she was talking the same plumbing guy appeared, fiddled about with something and the water came on! Apparently he bypassed our system with water from the villa next to our which he also owned. However, our issue was the total lack of communication from Solmar. The villa manager was not even on Corfu! But ‘I am in Greece!’ Very helpfulThe next day she did ring and apologise and they credited us with €100 for a meal. Someone should have rung to keep us updated- a whole day was wasted and we had booked an excursion for the evening which we had to cancel as we didn’t know what was happening
We have just returned from our stay in Villa Blue Beach in Lanzarote. The villa was lovely and well kitted out with all the necessary equipment including pool towels. We did have a problem with the TV in that we couldn’t get any tv channels and a message said had we connected the device? On looking behind the tv there was a mass of wires connecting various devices all plugged into a power adapter. We left things alone and watched Amazon Prime and Netflix instead.The pool was small but adequate and if I could make one recommendation it would be to have the lava stone surrounding the pool replaced as in full sun it becomes very hot to touch and could burn a child’s feet.Overall, we had a fantastic stay and would recommend this villa to other holiday makers.
This was my first ever villa booking so I was quite nervous and worried about what type of service/villa I would receive. It also didn't help my nerves that I was reading negative reviews about Solmar Villas on trustpilot! Well, I can happily confirm my 10 day trip to Villa Lomasol (Nerja) was absolutely beautiful. Me and my family had a wonderful trip and we couldn't have asked for a better villa. Everything was perfect (views were stunning)👌 okay, well some things could have improved like the beds not being so hard and the pool being a bit warmer, but in the grand scheme of things it didn't matter! What mattered was the memories me and my young family were making and that we were away from the rainy UK enjoying the Spanish sun! One has to understand that these villas are not our homes and everything may not be spot on but be patient and speak to Solmar Villas if you are not happy with what you get. I am lucky to have experienced this trip with my children, one of whom is autistic. The villa was a safe and comfy zone for my children who felt like home and we had the perfect privacy. We did rent a car so we could drive to other places. This villa needs a car!Also the maintenance man came twice to clean the pool and he was friendly! Solamr Villas did message me to see if everything was going well and I was happy that it was. To all those who are reading the negative reviews about Solmar Villas, please don't let it put you off. Every villa is different and each customer has its own experience. Solmar villas do have a responsibility to provide the best of services and villa to its customers. I have been fortunate to have had a pleasant experience with Solmar Villas.Thank you to Solmar Villas for this gorgeous villa and the easy going customer service from start to finish. 🙌
We are currently staying in a Solmar villa in Zakynthos and the experience has so far been atrocious. We pre-booked a high chair and cot for our 7 month old, we reconfirmed that this was included just before we travelled but arrived to find neither in the villa. The 24 hour help line was unanswered everytime we called and no one returned any of our calls. The next day after meeting the onsite caretaker and continuing to call the helpline both a highchair & cot were provided, however the cot was horrendous and unusable. The mattress did not even vaguely fit the frame, was clearly from a completely different cot. It would have been dangerous to let our baby sleep in it. It was also absolutely filthy.Other issues include no plug for the bath so cannot bathe our children, none of the duvets have covers on them & they are dirty.Would not recommend this company, they are unhelpful, absent, liars and expensive for how shabby the villa is.
First time on a villa holiday and I loved it! The villa made it, with the gym upstairs where you could see the sea view, huge TV in the lounge and great kitchen space for when we chose to stay in to relax and eat on a evening. location with bus stop nearby into Playa Blanca. A few restaurants and supermarket about 10 minute walk away from the villa which was ideal.
