The drone was absolutely spectacular and me and my partner absolutely loved it. We were also amazed at how dog friendly the event was. The only minor disappointment was the food and drinks options were a bit limited and very pricy. However we would definitely book to go again

Really enjoyed the Spacesafari show at Lincoln Showground. The drone display was spectacular and definitely the highlight of the evening. It was also great to see such a wide choice of food vendors. Parking was easy and the marshalling was excellent, made the whole experience much better. Would definitely attend another event here.

Really enjoyed it this time despite the bitter cold wind, I thought the tribute acts were very brave to perform despite not having a covered stage! I last ‘saw’ the show last year at Leeds but our booked seats were side-on to the display so could barely make out what they were! My main complaint is I wanted to take a chair with me so had to pay more as if bringing a picnic, which I wasn’t! I assumed the extra was because I’d be sited in a different area to those standing but was just sent the same area! Why the extra charge an absolute con and rip-off!? More hot drink outlets were much needed as the two there had horrendous queues so was baffled as to why none of the food outlets sold hot drinks as they usually do, this made no sense whatsoever! As for the drones, the story really tailor made for children but still impressive!

My first experience of a drone show and it was amazing. The whole story telling in the sky was fantastic. Definitely will be keeping an eye out for your next show.

Drones great. Forget the rest.

The drones were fantastic but having to travel and wait so long meant the length of presentation was just too short. The rest just didnt work in March. Might be better in the Summer. The tribute acts must have been frozen on that very basic poor stage (not covered in any way).Paying to take chairs and a picnic goes right against the grain especially having seen the expensive, slow serving, poor quality pork / smash burger food truck. We both questioned the hygiene standard of that truck and wished we had tried one of the others. The logistical organisation worked well. We wont bother again unless we can bring our chairs and picnic without paying and the support acts improve. The 20 minute drone show wasnt worth all the waiting about and travelling time.

A mixed bag

The car park and access was swift and well managed. We were disappointed with the fairground, as it was extremely limited, and some of the rides looked like they were due for retirement some time ago!The food offering was pretty good, and priced as would be expected for such events, but it did seem odd to have the only two bars next to each other, and quite a way from anything else.It was pretty clear many others who arrived early were disappointed with the early entertainment offering, as many seemed to be leaving to go and wait in the warmth of the nearby McDonald’s until closer to the main event. One of our group had significant walking difficulty and was initially advised at the entrance he would have to walk to the opposite end of the arena to view the drones, but later found they could be seen well from much closer to the disabled parking area. There were a number of near misses with cars trying to perform a u-turn on the main road, with a lone operative attempting to just shout and point at cars. This could’ve been designed out with a simple line of cones down the middle of the road, forcing drivers to turn at the next roundabout.Hopefully constructive, we need more events like this at the show-ground in Lincoln, and I think with a little more effort for the ticket price, it could’ve been much more successful.

More lows than highs

I found the event to be a bit of mixed bag. I was happy with the ticket price, but not happy when I subsequently discovered I had to pay an extra £7 to park and an extra £3.50 per person to take a chair and my own food. That should have been made clear up front. Arrival and parking was easy and I found the staff on site to be friendly and helpful. I was able to set up camp in a great spot, although that was because I arrived in good time. I thought the local singer and the two tribute acts were pretty good, and from what I saw people were joining in and enjoying the music. The tribute bands were perhaps a little bit cringey, but good on the whole. There really wasn’t that much to do at the event, at least not to keep you entertained for the duration. The prices of the rides were exorbitant, talk about fleecing a captive audience. That, to me, was unfair and not family focused. Similarly, the prices of the food and drink were beyond ridiculous and I felt like it was a mean spirited way of making money from people who were freezing cold and trying to find ways to warm up and pass some time. There weren’t enough places to get hot drinks from, which meant there were huge queues so I just gave in on that. The drone show was moved back by an hour and I was very much on the cusp of leaving before it started. It was bitterly cold (obviously not the organisers fault) with no place to shelter and, as ok as they were, I’d had enough of the singers. This is purely my opinion, but I’m not sure I believe that the drone show was delayed due to safety. There really wasn’t a difference between the weather at 7.30 and the weather at 8.30 - in fact it was maybe slightly worse when the show actually started. I don’t understand why it was safe for the practice drones to fly at 7.30 but not to do the show. The Taylor Swift act was originally due on stage after the show and I suspect the delay may have had more to do with the fact that there is minimal chance people would have stayed to watch. The actual drone show was good, I enjoyed seeing the different animals. The narration did nothing for me (equally it didn’t cause me any bother), but it was more aimed at children and the ones I could see seemed to be engaged with it. I was glad I stuck it out and stayed to watch. I didn’t have too much trouble getting out of the venue but where I was parked played a big part in that. It was starting to be carnage, with people trying to merge in multiple places on both sides and frustration building. I can imagine it was a pretty horrid experience for those that got stuck in the carnage. I would say that I enjoyed seeing the drones, but with the event as it was I wouldn’t be happy to recommend it to anyone else and I wouldn’t go again myself.

Drone show was excellent, tribute acts, meh.

I thought the ticket price was about right for the event and the drone show itself was excellent. Jack Headley was very good, the Taylor Swift tribute was OK, but ABBA... meh. Food and drink was vastly overpriced as it always is so I'm glad we took a picnic. Would definitely go to see another (different) drone display but they need to up their game with the tribute acts.
