Good people skills from everybody I had contact with and a swift process ( 6 days from consultation to surgery) . Nice surroundings and state of the art equipment make you feel confident and comfortable. Really impressed with the whole process and the fact the system provides you with plenty of choice of location just adds to the overall feeling of satisfaction of a job well done . Bravo SM - keep it up!
If you have to have any follow-up treatment even if it’s marked as urgent, you almost never ever get a call back from Bexhill spa medica even when a doctor or optician has marked it as very urgent it’s like a conveyor belt of people having treatment, they are not at all carer friendly when it comes to appointments
First the right eye was done and i give the surgeon 10 out of 5 absolutely brilliant he kept me occupied with small talk and ther was absolutely no pain recovery also very quick scend (left eye a different story the surgeon started and the pain was unbelievable he had to stop twice and administer more anasthetic now 6weeks on and i am still having issues the eye was pure red for in exess of 2 weeks afterwards so not so great eyes now settling down
Positive Observations:- The appointment turnaround was impressively quick.- The assessment itself was excellent—efficient and professionally conducted.Areas of Concern:- The interpreter assigned did not speak the appropriate dialect, which made communication extremely difficult for my mother, who is deaf in one ear and has dementia. This oversight significantly impacted her ability to understand and engage during the appointment.- The attending nurse was unreasonably aggressive in insisting that no one could sit with my mother while she waited to be seen. Despite explaining her dementia and anxiety, no accommodations were made to support her emotional wellbeing.- There was a noticeable lack of compassion and patient-centred care from the nurse, who was both inconsiderate and rude. The clinic was running behind schedule, and my 86-year-old mother was left sitting alone for an extended period with a stranger she did not know—an experience that was distressing and inappropriate given her condition. After waiting for almost 2 hour , I had to go speak to front desk, and again explain why I was so concern. She then arranged for me to go and sit with her while she waited to be called in for surgery.
Can’t praise the staff enough! Very professional but at the same time friendly and caring. Theatre staff awesome, whole procedure took less time than anticipated and can’t believe difference in my eyesight. Thank you Spamedica Preston. Would highly recommend to everyone.
Excellent customer service - from making the appointment to the welcome and initial checking in process ... followed by caring and professional medical care ... all of which was delivered in a clearly efficient and effective framework.
Had my surgery on the 28th October. Collected on time by their transport and delivered to the surgery in adequate time for my appointment in Hull.Staff there were brilliant and put me at ease with a cup of coffee and a biscuit.Operation went smoothly and did not feel any discomfort whatsoever. Can’t praise the team enough for there professionalism.
I can’t praise SpaMedica high enough, from my initial consultation to my first eye surgery. They took my fear seriously and all my questions were answered honestly. All the staff were extremely kind. I have no fears for the second eye.
