Review Time
I have now completed the process of having my cataracts removed and new lenses fitted in the Newark branch.I could not fault them, I started my journey late June and I was warned I could be waiting a year for them to be done on the NHS However I had my pre assessment within 4 weeks my operation a week later it was all done so quickly. Both eyes done post operation assessments and discharged today, I’m a pathetic coward so I was a nervous wreck. I struggled to let them even put eyedrops in my eyes I was that scared. But I luckily saw a lovely nurse called Rachel, she kept me calm explained what would happen and literally gave me the confidence I could go through with it. I had not realised how bad my eyesight was and it quickly deteriorated as I had an aggressive form of cataract. I would have and actually considered life with poor eyesight I was so petrified. Thanks to Rachel I now have brilliant eyesight and I will see my young grandchildren grow and flourish. Every member of staff I came across was really nice and the surgeons did a fantastic job alongside the nurses. I can not recommend Spamedica Newark branch enough they literally gave me back my sight and I will be eternally grateful
From my first visit to SpaMedica at Newcastle under Lyme on Wed 24th Sept to my cataract surgery on Mon 20th Oct. I felt comfortable, relaxed and safe. I cannot praise SpaMedica highly enough! I was extremely apprehensive when I arrived for cataract surgery. From the moment I walked through the door for the pre-op assessment to when I walked out having had the procedure, it was five stars all the way! Kind, considerate, re-assuring, professional, the list goes on! It feels odd looking forward to a medical procedure, but I am actually totally laid back by the prospect of the second eye operation. A million thanks to all concerned!
SpaMedica at Widnes know what they are doing. I had a cataract operation. Staff are friendly and professional.They understand any issues and help eleviate any concerns you have. From greeting you as you arrive, through every step of the operation, to getting you on your way home after itis over. Excellent experience. Only one suggestion I would have is to use tape when marking up which eye is to be worked on would be preferred to the permenant marker pen that is used. As it does take some removing, above an eye which is tender.
