Hull. It did not work at all. Vision in right eye has got worse. Have rung them and told they would get back emergency etc. Silence. When it does not work they do not want to know at all. I have already been in contact so do not write to contact you. You have and are failing to contact me despite the bad situation now. You were warned by me before the first procedure about potential problems brushed aside and now look at the disastrous result in one eye.
I had my second cataract operation yesterday at the Chapletown, Sheffield Spa Medica facility. The treatment and experience mirror imaged that of my first cataract operation in February 2024.All the staff were friendly and engaging, ensuring that I understood all aspects of the procedure. The overall process was speedy, and I was in and out of the building within two hours together with precise instructions about post op recovery.
It would have been great if not for one blonde haired woman who was an extremely cold fish and a bit rude on my pre op visit in September for my left eye op on 9th October.All the other staff were absolutely lovely and a particular mention for the fabulous surgeon who did my right eye on 28th November.
Blackpool spamedica - went today for cataract surgery on my 2nd eye. Absolutely cannot fault any staff - the receptionist was very helpful as on my previous visit. All the nurses are kind and caring and the surgeon was exceptionally patient with me. I would recommend spamedica to anyone

I attended the SpaMedica Blackpool clinic, which opened less that 3 years ago. The whole process was very efficient, from first referral on 4th September through pre-op and 2 operations on 23rd October and 27th November. All the staff were helpful and reassuring and the surgery painless. On each occasion I was discharged less that 3 hours after arrival. I would happily recommend this clinic.
SpaMedica are real specialists in their field. St. Catherine's in Birkenhead were my first port of call for my pre-op assessment and the service was friendly and first class. My cataract was very severe and they referred me to the Complex Team in Chester. Communication and appointment booking was made easy, they even arranged an Uber for me to go there and return as part of their amazing service. The building in Chester is immaculate and very accessible. The whole procedure was seamless and with a smile from all the wonderful staff. I was treated by Paul and his team with expertise and professionalism. I was in and home within 2 and 1/2 hours, wonderful. The next day I rang Chester as I forgot to get my doctor's note for time off work. Julie helped me to sort it out for collection without any fuss. A lovely clean and caring place which does not feel like a hospital. The staff are friendly and helpful, always willing to answer questions and reassure. Waiting times are usually well within the period given unless they have had an emergency which is totally understandable. Aftercare is well explained and contacts given in case of any problems. I cannot recommend them highly enough.
