Awaitin new prescription for occupational glasses

Was provided with glasses after having eye test but when i collected my glasses they were for driving! I already have glasses for that. Had to wait again forcthem to fix problem and collected what i thought were the cirrect glasses only to discover they were reading glasses and it was suggested i move my computer screen closer obviously this did not work and was told i would need to purchase occupational glasses and pay an extra £135! I said this was unprofessional to ask for further payment. When i called up to complain i was told by the receptionist that the optometrist assume they would work!! Making an assumption is surely not how this works?? I called again as I was not happy with this response on 10 November and spoke with one of the directors and a appointment was arranged to see a optometrist to check my prescription. Eventually it was agreed they would change my glasses for occupational ones and i would have to pay a further £32. I was also advised if they did not work i would get a full refund!! This is ridiculous!! Specsavers are supposed to provide a service and products but my experience has been the opposite!!!

optician was great

optician was great, really explained everything in terms of the pre tests I had done and also the difference between the last time i had an eye test and now, good choice of eyewear to try on, turn around for the order to be ready a week, so all really positive.

Try to speak my language please.

I have just had a reply I don't understand it! It asks for a DM via social media such as Facebook which I don't use. Specsavers don't know how to communicate, which is my original complaint!!!!!!!!

New glasses

Been with Specsavers for many years but now they’re falling behind, all they want to do is sell even when you tell them you don’t want the extras they still pressure you to buy, well no more. After one month of having spectacles I realised I could not wear them due to getting pain in back of eye, returned them and was told there was nothing wrong with them you will have to get used to them

Lovely customer service experience from Mitesh BhudiaI came in for my last contact lens prescription trial and I had some questions that I was confused on but Mitesh at the Weston Favell Store, Northampton was really helpful and replied the questions in detail and with good explanation. The sight tests are inaccurate

Went to Specsavers for a sight test mid 2025 as my sight hadn't been quite right in the last few weeks....I was told my vision had gone from a -6.25 to a - 7.50.....was surprised as I had been the previous sight for 25 years and was a big drop and always upkept my sight checks in those years so had dropped a lot in one year. I bought two pairs of glasses and new contact lenses based on their advice...I have had nothing but problems as the lenses are far to strong, you don't realise this at first...I ended up buying so many different contact lens none of which worked.. totally uncoincidentally i was in Qatar and they had had sight week in a shopping mall i visited...they had the top optometrist who gave me a sight and eye test. They found that I had recurring blepharitis which Specsavers should have picked up on as it can make sight blurry. My vision had not changed i was still a -6.25 l and 6.5 r. I spent a lot of money on glasses and contact lenses for no reason. Overstrong contact lenses and glasses are not fun. Dont go to Specsavers.
