Review Time
The eye test seemed to go well and the selection of glasses. However, the day before I was due to collect the glasses I received both a text and email reminding me of my appointment. On arrival, I was advised that the glasses hadn't arrived, despite being a week after the eye test. I was also told that the reminder messaging was automatic and meant little. I suggested that they should have called me, but they didn't seem interested, neither would they reimburse my travel/parking costs. I therefore requested a refund and left. After years of going to Specsavers in north London without issues, I won't be going to Specsavers again as North Walsham branch seems rather careless and lacking in customer care, and a real let down for the company's reputation.
When I arrived 30 mins early to have drops put in my eyes, it was done very quickly. I then had to sit for 30 mins to wait for my allotted appointment. An hour later I was still waiting to be seen so I approached a member of staff who said I would be seen in a couple of minutes which I was. Someone mentioned that a member of staff had gone home sick which I understand cannot be helped. However it would have been polite to explain that I may have to wait a little longer instead of me watching everyone else being called in and me left sitting there.
I have been to been using Specsavers Tunbridge Wells for approximately 25years. I have always been satisfied with the service I received and their glasses. Unfortunately my latest visit was an absolute disaster.I had a scheduled eye test, advised adjustments to my lenses were necessary. I ordered five pairs of glasses, two new frames, three frames reglazed at a cost of just under £500.When I went to collect my order, all five pairs gave blurry vision. Another eye test was booked , the initial test results were found to be incorrect. Another set of lenses were ordered. Thankfully the replacements were ok. On wearing on pair of the sun glasses, the lenses fell out. Yet another visit, new lenses required. This whole episode has left me utterly exhausted and extremely disappointed. My Wife and I will not be returning to Specsavers in the future. We have been recommended by friends to use Boots in the future.
