Excellent service from Specsavers, Andover. Seen on time, really extensive eye examination, and an appointment made to return the next day for a scan as a problem was detected. Letter send immediately to my GP and a hospital appointment received for within 3 weeks. Thank goodness I made that appointment!
Their phone options are incorrect; a problem that they've known about for many months now but they haven't rectified.I waited seven weeks for a Hearing Aid Home Visit. I was told that I would recieve a text on the day to let me know if the visit would happen in the morning or the afternoon. I did not receive a message of any sort. Worst of all though; I presumed that they would bring Hearing Aids along for my Mother to try. All they brought was a price list. They did a test and said that my Mother's hearing was poor in her left ear and non-existent in her right ear. I told them this seven weeks earlier. They then said that a pair of 'Advanced Elite' aids would cost £2100! Not even a picture of them was offered. Having agreed that my Mum only needs one aid, they said that the price would therefore be reduced by 30%, not the 50% that you might imagine. Dodgy Maths. They finally asked for full payment on the spot for an order to be completed.Yes, this is Specsavers. Horrendous service and communications coupled with shameful selling tactics. Needless to say, I said cheerio to them at this point. Specsavers...avoid them at all costs.
I have been going to specsavers for years, and this is the first time, I wasn’t listened to properly felt more about the sale. I explained I am on Pension credit, usually the staff I previously saw were so good and understanding.This time I felt rushed and no interest was shown, I will be going to another optician
This time visit at Specsavers made me to think 🤔 I should look for an alternative opticians!It was all about selling services and products and not about the customer. Before I can consider whether should I purchased glasses or continue with contact lenses I was forced (not physically but mentally) to opt for so many services and products. So quite frankly this kind of service really put me off but helped with my decision that I should consider new opticians.
