Review Time
I had to wait to be seen by one of the staff,so much so it was the greeter man who had to alert staff I was still waiting . The lady I saw was in disagreement about my need for virefocals, so I had to make another appointment to get my reading glasses altered.
At the end of the eye test in Newton Abbot Devon the optician un provoked, offered a further discount on any glasses I purchased. He wrote this discount on the sheet he handed to the lady who assisted me in selection. I selected the glasses, had the fitting, and paid for my glasses but the following day realised the 10% he offered had not been deducted from my payment. I returned to the shop and the very POOR customer service girl flatly refused to honour the DISCOUNT, all done in a Kurt blunt way. I referred her to the sheet that the optician has written the discount on, and also said that the brilliant Ukrainian assistant that fitted my glasses would remember the discount written on the sheet, she said these sheets were destroyed and all in a un sympathetic cold and poor customer service manner, just said "he should not of done that, we can't do that". For me the discount is no longer the issue it's the principal, along with dreadful manner presented by the assistant I spoke to when I returned on that day.
