Good When It Works, But Unreliable

The speed is fantastic when it's working, but I've had several frustrating outages in the few months I've been with them. For a company that promises to be "ultra-reliable," this has been a letdown. Contacting the help team is easy, but they often can't give a concrete time for a fix. The price is great, but you get what you pay for. It's not the "superior alternative" to big broadband I was hoping for, as their infrastructure seems less resilient. I'm considering switching back for stability.

Be careful when taking out a contract

Having had a good set up with 4th Utility a couple of years ago, but not without a few hiccups, I am beyond disappointed with my contract now. I am half way through a 24 month contract, of which 12 months were discounted. My monthly cost has increased by £10 per month. I've just tried to reduce my speed to lower the cost as there are no further discounts available (new customers can get my package for £13 cheaper per month), but there is nothing they can do to help. I would have to pay the full 12 months left on the contract to exit. Please read your contract before agreeing to anything!! The lady I spoke to was very kind, but could do nothing to help. After multiple occasions this year where we have lost signal for a couple of days at a time before 3rd party contractors could come and fix the cables, I will be leaving 4th Utility as soon as my contract ends.

Very thorough when locating the space to drill the hole. Line installation looks neet and they were able to accommodate my request of where to put the line. My service was up and running by the time they left.

The worst provider ever. AVOID AT ALL COSTS

Company only interested in new sales. Aftercare is non existent. Router supplied is woefully bad. Currently paying for 1GB connection and getting approx 40mb via WiFi whilst standing by the router. Want to change payment date, but this can only be done by phone. Impossible to talk to anyone in customer service therefore impossible to satisfy this simple request. Website is shockingly bad.Have spent many hours on hold without getting through to customer service at all.1 star given because zero stars isn't an option.Avoid avoid avoid.
